Gonzaga was tested by both Georgia State and Memphis in the first two rounds of March Madness, but the Zags have now made it to the Sweet Sixteen for the seventh straight time. Now, Mark Few is looking to bring that elusive national championship to Spokane, but there are two other No. 1 seeds looking to claim their first national titles in quite some time too.

NCAA Tournament Betting Odds at BetOnline

Gonzaga Bulldogs +230

The Gonzaga Bulldogs are the favorites to win the NCAA Tournament right now. Gonzaga has a top five pick in the NBA Draft in Chet Holmgren, a proven playmaker in Drew Timme, and a guard that can push the pace in Andrew Nembhard. They are the top-rated team according to Ken Pomeroy, but they may have trouble with an Arkansas team that is tough and can play with pace in the Sweet Sixteen.

Kansas Jayhawks +525

We told you last week that Kansas had the best chance of getting to the Final Four of any No. 1 seed. The Jayhawks are heavy favorites to win the Midwest Regional this weekend, as Auburn and Wisconsin both lost. Providence was seen as the weakest No. 4 seed in March Madness, and the Friars did struggle with South Dakota State in the first round. Kansas will play a double-digit seed in either Iowa State or Miami (FL) if the Jayhawks can get past Providence on Friday night.

Arizona Wildcats +600

Arizona just managed to survive a tough test from TCU in the second round. The Wildcats needed overtime to get past the Horned Frogs, as Bennedict Mathurin and Christian Koloko combined to score 58 points. That performance has some doubting Arizona now, and they have the toughest test of any No. 1 seed in the Sweet Sixteen. Arizona must face a Houston team that was definitely underseeded when the Selection Committee put the Cougars on the No. 4 line.

Houston Cougars +800

The most impressive team through the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament was Houston. They beat UAB by 14 points and Illinois by 15 points, and the Cougars are now rated the second-best team in the country by Ken Pomeroy. Josh Carlton is a menace down low and is one of the nation’s best offensive rebounders, and he can match up with Arizona’s frontcourt. Houston ranks 10th in offensive efficiency and 10th in defensive efficiency, so the Cougars are only small underdogs against Arizona.

Purdue Boilermakers +900

The East Regional is wide open after No. 1 Baylor and No. 2 Kentucky fell on the first weekend. Purdue is best positioned to win the region, as the Boilermakers face No. 15 seed Saint Peter’s in the Sweet Sixteen, and a No. 15 seed has never made it to the Elite Eight. Jaden Ivey is a playmaking guard that will be a lottery pick, and Sasha Stefanovic is a solid perimeter shooter. Zach Edey can frustrate teams with his height too as a 7’4 center.

Follow our Twitter account for the latest sports news and wagering odds, and come to our Instagram for more useful betting info too.

The Gonzaga Bulldogs are still the overall favorite to win the 2022 NCAA Tournament.
