Just one season ago, we got to see the Philadelphia Phillies right fielder Bryce Harper win the National League MVP award. This time around, he is expected to contend for the award once again. However, there are a few better players to bet on in 2022 for this prestigious honor. Here we will take a look at four of these players and how they can potentially win MVP this upcoming season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Trea Turner (+1150)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The shortstop position usually gets the most looks when talking about the MVP award. Trea Turner plays exactly that position and is on one of the best teams in the league right now. Turner had 196 hits and 77 RBIs a year ago and held up a .328 batting average. He was fifth in MVP voting at the end of the season despite it being a career year all-around. If he can continue to improve at the level that he did in 2021, then he has tremendous value from sportsbooks to win it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Mookie Betts (+850)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Mookie Betts always squirms his way into the MVP conversation no matter what conference he happens to be in. Betts hasn\u2019t been talked about nearly as much as he should have since he joined the Los Angeles Dodgers but his play is still strong. Since joining the team, his stats have all taken a minor jump. With the Dodgers heavy favorites to win the World Series, Betts is sure to be looked at incredibly closely for the MVP award if he continues to post solid numbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Ronald Acuna Jr. (+800)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Ronald Acuna was unfortunately unable to play a lot towards the end of the 2021 year due to injuries, most notably a horrible ACL tear. He still got to see some action in 82 games last year, putting together 24 home runs and 17 stolen bases. Acuna posted an OPS of .990 and is set to have a tremendous year with the Atlanta Braves. The only thing worrying about his 2022 campaign is that he will likely miss at least the first two weeks of the season. Although, he will instantly claim his starting job once he is able to return at full strength.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Juan Soto (+275)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Juan Soto quickly established himself as one of the best players in the league. Soto pretty much does everything that you would want out of a player offensively. He hit 29 home runs, 95 RBIs and led the National League with 145 walks. Not to mention that 2021 saw him have the slowest start to a season in his young career. The only potential problem facing Soto this season is that he is on the Washington Nationals, a team projected to be in the bottom-five in terms of record.
