{"id":22507,"date":"2022-05-17T18:43:39","date_gmt":"2022-05-17T22:43:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.betonline.ag\/news-room\/?p=22507"},"modified":"2022-05-19T20:02:57","modified_gmt":"2022-05-20T00:02:57","slug":"3-worst-games-on-the-nfls-2022-week-one-schedule","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.betonline.ag\/news-room\/nfl\/3-worst-games-on-the-nfls-2022-week-one-schedule\/","title":{"rendered":"3 WORST GAMES ON THE NFL\u2019S 2022 WEEK ONE SCHEDULE"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TheFirstMan\">BY ADAM GREENE<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While we\u2019re all rightly excited about the pomp and celebration surrounding the NFL\u2019s official schedule release and the great games populating it, like pretty much every team in the AFC South, they can\u2019t all be winners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After taking a solid gander at the opening week schedule, I was surprised to find they kept the stinkers to a minimum. In fact, there are some sneaky interesting games on this schedule that kept me from rounding this list out to the preferred \u201c5 Worst Games.\u201d There weren\u2019t five to be had.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Epicenter To Win Preakness Stakes 2022? Dick Jerardi Says Yes! | BetOnline All Access\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/UNu5DYm2iDI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>But there were three. Oh yes, there were three and, try as they might, the NFL can only do so much to hide them in the 1 p.m. window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>BALTIMORE<\/strong><strong> RAVENS AT NEW YORK JETS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.betonline.ag\/sportsbook\/football\/nfl\">Current odds: Ravens -5, O\/U: 45<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s a mismatch of the ages as the Ravens, a legitimate Super Bowl contender, travel up the coast to face a Jets team that will pick in the Top Five again in 2023. That\u2019s not to say New York didn\u2019t improve itself with a solid draft and some offseason acquisitions. But there\u2019s not a universe in the Multiverse of Madness where this game stays competitive after the first quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s not just the possibility of Lamar Jackson lighting up the Jets defense, but also Baltimore\u2019s D-Unit absolutely crushing New York in everything it tries to do. I feel like Ravens -5 is low and certainly by gameday, that\u2019ll move to -7.5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CLEVELAND<\/strong><strong> BROWNS AT CAROLINA PANTHERS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Current odds:<\/strong> Browns -4.5, O\/U: 43.5<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the aforementioned Multiverse, there\u2019s a version of this game where a non-suspended Deshaun Watson faces off against a Panthers team quarterbacked by Baker Mayfield. We do not live in that universe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the NFL has not handed down any punishments to Watson yet, it\u2019s probably only a matter of time. Mayfield has stated he doesn\u2019t want to play for Carolina and when the Browns cut him (which they\u2019ll have to do), he\u2019s free to sign wherever he wants. It won\u2019t be with the Panthers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So get all your apologies prepped ahead of time Scott Hansen, because we\u2019re getting another classic Jacoby Brissett vs Sam Darnold QB duel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>INDIANAPOLIS<\/strong><strong> COLTS AT HOUSTON TEXANS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Current odds:<\/strong> Colts -8, O\/U: 44<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re noticing a trend, I can only feel like the NFL did it on purpose. They specifically put these garbage games in the weaker opponents\u2019 home stadium. So while Colts fans are rightly excited to see Matt Ryan taking snaps for their team that I think is a legit Super Bowl contender, they\u2019ll be doing it in their man caves because this show opens on the road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Like the Ravens and Jets, I can\u2019t imagine this game remaining interesting past the first quarter. Now, for daily fantasy players, there should be tons of interest here (and with Ravens-Jets).
