It\u2019s a long wait until Dec. 9, when one prolific passer (most likely) will be awarded a Heisman Trophy that will land him a multimillion-dollar deal with Nissan to join the<\/a> Heisman House.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here\u2019s a look at the favorites for the award<\/a> and their shot at hoisting it before Christmas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CALEB WILLIAMS, USC (+550)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2022:<\/strong> 66.6 completion percentage, 4,537 yards, 42 touchdowns, five interceptions, 382 rushing yards, 10 rushing touchdowns<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Williams is the reigning Heisman Trophy winner and the odds-on favorite to win it again. He\u2019s all but guaranteed, barring some kind of Spencer Rattler fall off the edge of the world, to be the No. 1 overall NFL selection in next April\u2019s NFL Draft. Still, he might not be the best bet here, considering that no player in the Heisman award\u2019s entire history has won it twice, let alone in back-to-back seasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JAYDEN DANIELS, LSU (+900)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2022:<\/strong> 68.6 completion percentage, 2,913 yards, 17 touchdowns, three interceptions, 885 rushing yards, 11 rushing touchdowns<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While Daniels played well last season and helped the Tigers become relevant in the SEC and Power 5 football once again, putting his odds at No. 2 behind Williams might be a stretch. Daniels has never thrown for more than 17 touchdowns in a season and stats like that won\u2019t get you the bronze running back award for quarterbacks in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

QUINN EWERS, TEXAS (+900)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2022:<\/strong> 58.1 completion percentage, 2,177 yards, 15 touchdowns, six interceptions, one rushing touchdown<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Forget about the Heisman Trophy for Quinn Ewers, he might not keep his starting quarterback job. You see, right behind him on the bench lurking is none other than Arch Manning, the top recruit in all of college football the last few years. And for Ewers to keep his position, let alone compete for any national award, he\u2019ll need to double that yardage and touchdown total. Or he\u2019ll be flirting with cheerleaders on the sideline while Arch takes the Longhorns to a bowl game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CADE KLUBNIK, CLEMSON (+1000)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2022:<\/strong> 61.0 completion percentage, 697 yards, two touchdowns, three interceptions, 139 rushing yards, two rushing touchdowns<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Klubnik didn\u2019t see a lot of action in 2022 as DJ Uiagalelei took the lion\u2019s share of snaps at quarterback for Clemson. DJU is now at Oregon State and Klubnik gets his shot to not only return the Tigers to the top of the ACC, but maybe sneak into the College Football Playoff too. If he can manage that, and put up the statistics required, he will absolutely be in the Heisman hunt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CARSON BECK, GEORGIA (+1200)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2022:<\/strong> 74.3 completion percentage, 310 yards, four touchdowns, no interceptions<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beck finally gets his shot to replace The Ancient One, Stetson Bennett, who spent more time in college than Van Wilder. Beck has been tossed the keys to one of the most prolific and talented offenses in NCAA football and should reap the rewards immediately. While Bennett was unquestionably a great player, Beck is more physically gifted and, if he can put it all together for a third consecutive national title run, he could end up holding the Heisman Trophy as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
