The team traded away Russell Wilson, who \u201cCarroll was holding back\u201d only to see DaneRuss completely fall on his face with the Denver Broncos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Meanwhile, in Seattle, Russ\u2019s backup Geno Smith made the Pro Bowl, got his team into the playoffs and won NFL Comeback Player of the Year. We now have a more solid vision of what the Seahawks will look like this season and, for whatever reason, punditry and the books see it way different than I do. I don\u2019t feel like this should have been a playoff team last year and definitely don\u2019t think they are this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They get a break with their schedule, and can capitalize on problems with other teams again. Coming up on their docket is the Carolina Panthers this weekend, then they\u2019re at the New York Giants, then at the Cincinnati Bengals and no one knows if Joe Burrow will even be playing in that game. Then, it\u2019s the Arizona Cardinals after that. This could be another crazy lucky Seahawks team that\u2019ll sneak into the playoffs again and make just as quick an exit.
