Monday Night Football blesses us this week with a matchup between two playoff teams from last season who probably shouldn\u2019t have made the playoffs at all without injuries to the Green Bay Packers and Los Angeles Rams. Still, it\u2019s football, it\u2019s in Prime Time and we get to see the Daniel Jones vs Geno Smith quarterback duel we\u2019ll be telling our grandkids about someday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This will be the 21st<\/sup> all time meeting between the two franchises, with the records a  perfectly even 10-10. They last met the day before Halloween last season, with Seattle claiming a 27-13 victory. Smith was 23 of 34 passing for 212 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in the win. He added 26 yards on the ground. Kenneth Walker rushed 18 times for 51 yards and a TD. DK Metcalf caught six passes for 55 yards and a score. Tyler Lockett had five grabs for 63 yards and a touchdown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the loss, Danny Dimes didn\u2019t toss many of those, going 17 of 31 passing for 176 yards, no touchdowns and no picks. He rushed for 20 yards. Saquon Barkley had 20 carries for 53 yards and a TD. Darius Slayton caught five passes for 66 yards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS AT NEW YORK GIANTS (+1, O\/U: 47)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (2-1)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seattle found itself in a shootout at home, outlasting the Carolina Panthers led by the Red Rifle himself, Andy Dalton, 37-27 last Sunday. Geno Smith was 22 of 36 passing for 296 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He was sacked twice. Kenneth Walker had 18 rushes for 97 yards and two TDs. He added three receptions for 59 yards. DK Metcalf caught six balls for 112 yards. The defense sacked Dalton three times and held the Panthers to a total of 44 yards on the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NEW YORK GIANTS (1-2)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thursday games can be rough for all involved, but the Giants probably regret even getting off the bus last week as they fell 30-12 to the San Francisco 49ers in a game that never even felt that close. Daniel Jones was 22 of 32 for 137 yards, no touchdowns and one interception. They rushed for a total of 29 yards with Matt Breida scoring the only TD of the day for the G-Men. Darius Slayton caught three passes for 32 yards. The defense sacked Brock Purdy twice and between that an the Breida TD were the only highlights New York had on the night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE PICK<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I don\u2019t expect to either of these teams playing anything but golf at the end of January, but there\u2019s no question Seattle has the more potent offense and roster. Yes, New York is at home and it\u2019s a long trip for the Seahawks, but it\u2019s a night game with an extra day\u2019s rest in between. They\u2019ll be fine. Seahawks 23, Giants 16<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
