catchers are reporting for spring training and it won\u2019t be long before Opening Day sneaks up on<\/p>\n\n\n\n
us. While many are predicting division, league and World Series winners, others are projecting<\/p>\n\n\n\n
who will lead in certain categories. So who will lead the Majors in Home Runs in 2024? Let\u2019s<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Obvious Choices<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Aaron Judge, New York Yankees (+400)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n After a prolific season two years ago where Judge hit an American League record 62 home runs<\/p>\n\n\n\n he struggled in 2022 with just 37. Judge dealt with injuries and missed 56 games but if you<\/p>\n\n\n\n prorated his production he was on pace for 56 home runs. That production would have won him<\/p>\n\n\n\n the home run title in 5 of the last 6 years. The other season? Judge smacked 62. As long as<\/p>\n\n\n\n he stays healthy, he\u2019ll be in contention for yet another home run title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Matt Olson, Atlanta Braves (+600)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Matt Olson led the Majors with 54 home runs in 2023, seven more than Kyle Shwarber who was<\/p>\n\n\n\n a distant second. Olson\u2019s output helped the Braves put up the best record in baseball during<\/p>\n\n\n\n the regular season. He\u2019ll be counted on for similar numbers this year, making him one of the<\/p>\n\n\n\n favorites in this category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n The Value Plays<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Shohei Ohtani, Los Angeles Dodgers (+1000)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n While he is the most expensive player in baseball and can do it all, Shohei Ohtani actually won’t<\/p>\n\n\n\n be pitching this season, meaning his chances to finish with the most home runs are much better<\/p>\n\n\n\n than in previous years. Over the last three seasons, Ohtani has smacked 46, 34, and 44 home<\/p>\n\n\n\n runs, while in the starting rotation for the Angels. Now with the Dodgers, strictly concentrating on<\/p>\n\n\n\n hitting, Ohtani isn\u2019t a bad bet that these odds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Ronald Acu\u00f1a Jr., Atlanta Braves (+2000)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The two years Ronald Acu\u00f1a Jr. has been able to stay healthy and play a full slate of games,<\/p>\n\n\n\n he\u2019s hit 41 home runs (2019, 2023). That kind of production shows how dangerous he can be if<\/p>\n\n\n\n he\u2019s in the lineup day in and day out. He is considered one of the hardest hitting players in the<\/p>\n\n\n\n majors and could break out in 2024 with a stacked Braves lineup. Hitting the half-century mark<\/p>\n\n\n\n isn\u2019t out of the question for the 26-year-old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Longshot With A Shot<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Julio Rodr\u00edguez, Seattle Mariners (+5500)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n After just two seasons, Julio Rodr\u00edguez is already considered one of the best young players in<\/p>\n\n\n\n baseball. Recently, the 23-year-old expressed disappointment in his 2023 season where he still<\/p>\n\n\n\n hit 32 home runs. Expected a highly motivated young superstar who made it to the semi-final of<\/p>\n\n\n\n last year\u2019s Home Run Derby.
