horse lurking at big odds? We\u2019ll break down a few of the contenders and maybe a longshot or<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Obvious Favorites<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Luis Arraez, Miami Marlins +550<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Luis Arraez is the favorite and for good reason. Arraez found a way to make contact often<\/p>\n\n\n\n during every at-bat. He finished with 203 hits, third best, but injuries forced him to miss 15<\/p>\n\n\n\n games. He was on pace for 223 hits, which would have been more than Acuna\u2019s 217. He\u2019s<\/p>\n\n\n\n considered one of the elite hitters, and a healthy season should have been near the top of the<\/p>\n\n\n\n leaders in the final weeks of the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Ronald Acuna Jr., Atlanta Braves +750<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The defending hits leader and reigning MVP crushed his previous career best of 175 hits in<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2019 on route to the title last season. The 26-year-old is one of the premier ball players in the<\/p>\n\n\n\n Majors and will not only have his Braves in contention for a championship, but also chasing<\/p>\n\n\n\n back-to-back MVP nods. We should see big numbers from Acuna making him a top threat for<\/p>\n\n\n\n most hits in baseball.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Value Options<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Bo Bichette, Toronto Blue Jays (+950)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Since becoming a full time starter in Toronto all Bo Bichette has done is hit the darn ball. He led<\/p>\n\n\n\n the AL in hits in 2021 and 2022 and likely had a shot of leading the league last season but<\/p>\n\n\n\n injuries slowed him down. Bichette was on pace for 210 last season but injuries forced him to<\/p>\n\n\n\n his 27 games. The 25-year-old infielder posted 191, 189 and 175 hits in the last three seasons<\/p>\n\n\n\n and if he can bump his average from .306 to about .330 and stay healthy, he could finally lead<\/p>\n\n\n\n the league in hits<\/p>\n\n\n\n Sleeper Longshot Pick<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Toronto Blue Jays (+6600)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n It was a down season for Bichette\u2019s teammate but Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has a chance to<\/p>\n\n\n\n rebound in 2024 and at these odds may be worth a flier. In his last three seasons he\u2019s posted<\/p>\n\n\n\n 188, 175, 159 hits but his batting average dipped last season to .264.
