Year after year, Honda\u2019s continue to be a popular vehicle for thieves to jack. It doesn\u2019t matter<\/p>\n\n\n\n
which make, if it\u2019s a Honda, the bad guys want it. Over the last two years, three different Honda<\/p>\n\n\n\n
vehicles have cracked the Top-10. And there\u2019s not much to suggest the trend will continue in<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the Chevy pickup and Ford pickup are the most popular, accounting for about 98,000 of<\/p>\n\n\n\n
them stolen every year, the Honda Civic and Honda Accord and the most highly sought after car<\/p>\n\n\n\n
accounting for about 54,000 of them stolen each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The older Honda Civic is very popular as those models don\u2019t have anti-theft technology. So it\u2019s<\/p>\n\n\n\n
no surprise the 2000 version remains the most stolen from the family. Still, thefts did drop about<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2,500 from the previous year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While the number of Honda Accord thefts have gone down in the past couple of years it still<\/p>\n\n\n\n
gains attention especially the 1997 model. Just like the Civic, the Accords are just as popular<\/p>\n\n\n\n
because they have very little anti-theft technology, and thieves can still make a boatload of cash<\/p>\n\n\n\n
by scrapping for parts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Honda CR-V makes the top ten consistently having about 13,000 of them stolen each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 2000 model was the most popular for thieves as it has the same advantages for thieves as<\/p>\n\n\n\n
the Civic and Accord; no anti-theft technology and the parts are highly sought after in the scrap<\/p>\n\n\n\n
market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Over the last few years the same make and models have cracked the Top-10 of most stolen<\/p>\n\n\n\n
cars in the U.S. That being said, there isn\u2019t much data to suggest the Honda vehicles will drop<\/p>\n\n\n\n
out of the Top-10. Honda\u2019s are considered the most reliable car on the road, meaning more and<\/p>\n\n\n\n
more of the older models are still being driven. And no-anti-theft technology and a high demand<\/p>\n\n\n\n
