This Wrestlemania will see the newest iteration of the World Heavyweight<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Championship up for grabs for the first time in its young history. Established in April of<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2023, Seth Rollins battled through a tournament to crown the inaugural winner in May of<\/p>\n\n\n\n
last year. The culmination of the tournament took place at Night of Champions where<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rollins picked up a victory in the finals against AJ Styles and picked up the new World<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Heavyweight Championship. Drew McIntyre on the other hand wasn\u2019t a part of this<\/p>\n\n\n\n
tournament. He\u2019s felt stifled at every turn, and even though he\u2019s had opportunities, it<\/p>\n\n\n\n
won\u2019t be enough until he has his name etched in WWE World Heavyweight<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Championship history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Drew McIntyre is no slouch and is a two-time WWE Champion with his first reign<\/p>\n\n\n\n
coming in 2020. He won the Royal Rumble and proceeded to challenge Brock Lesnar<\/p>\n\n\n\n
for the title at Wrestlemania 36. Unfortunately this was the first Wrestlemania during the<\/p>\n\n\n\n
pandemic, which was contested in front of zero fans at the WWE Performance Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A moment that McIntyre had dreamt of his entire career, winning the WWE<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Championship, was marred as his Wrestlemania moment took place in what was<\/p>\n\n\n\n
basically an empty warehouse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His second reign was during the \u201cThunderdome\u201d era and wasn\u2019t much more satisfying<\/p>\n\n\n\n
than the first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Now and only now is he finally getting an opportunity to have his Wrestlemania moment<\/p>\n\n\n\n
in front of a full house in Philadelphia with his eyes focused entirely on the WWE World<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Heavyweight Championship. He\u2019s developed a new attitude that swings towards the<\/p>\n\n\n\n
heel side as he reeks of desperation for the World Championship. He\u2019s faced Rollins<\/p>\n\n\n\n
twice for the title in the last year but was unsuccessful in both attempts. His<\/p>\n\n\n\n
performance in this year\u2019s edition of the Royal Rumble saw him eliminated by CM Punk<\/p>\n\n\n\n
and his chances at winning a top title in front of an audience were slipping away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Punk was rumoured to be on course for a collision with Rollins at Wrestlemania but an<\/p>\n\n\n\n
injury during the Royal Rumble has him out for a number of months. Oh and that injury,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
well it came at the hands of a futureshock DDT courtesy of none other than Drew<\/p>\n\n\n\n
McIntyre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This opened the window for McIntyre to climb the mountain once again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At Elimination Chamber, he ran the table to become the new number one contender for<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rollins\u2019 title at Wrestlemania 40. With his new attitude, we\u2019ve seen Drew cutting<\/p>\n\n\n\n
slanderous promos on Punk and Rollins, both on Raw and on social media. His<\/p>\n\n\n\n
confidence is at an all-time high and he\u2019s more than deserving of his Wrestlemania<\/p>\n\n\n\n
moment in front of tens of thousands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rollins has been nothing but a fighting champion during his reign, the workhorse<\/p>\n\n\n\n
champion if you will. He\u2019s wrestled through multiple injuries and missed a number of<\/p>\n\n\n\n
weeks with a knee injury that was sustained in mid-january.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But that\u2019s all a thing of the past. Cleared at the beginning of March, Rollins is back to his<\/p>\n\n\n\n
old ways. His old ways being that he\u2019s scheduled to wrestle on both nights of<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wrestlemania. The former Messiah has found himself in the middle of the Cody Rhodes<\/p>\n\n\n\n
and Bloodline storyline, a distraction from the immediate threat that is Drew McIntyre. Is<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Seth Rollins being drawn too close to the limelight and isn\u2019t able to see the predator<\/p>\n\n\n\n
among the prey?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With his contract rumoured to be ending soon, a World Heavyweight Championship run<\/p>\n\n\n\n
may keep him around a little longer. He\u2019s deserving of a Wrestlemania moment in Philly<\/p>\n\n\n\n
with a character that is more must watch than almost anything he’s done on record. It<\/p>\n\n\n\n
also doesn\u2019t have an immediate shelflife. You can go with the angle where he will do<\/p>\n\n\n\n
anything to keep the gold he was all so desperate to hold and continue it until CM Punk<\/p>\n\n\n\n
is eventually cleared. Then we can talk about Pepsi Phil going head-to-head with the<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Scottish Warrior, but for now, Seth \u201cFreakin\u201d Rollins will have to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
