It\u2019s time for the main event! UFC 300 is being touted as possibly the strongest card in<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

the company\u2019s history. Yes, there may not be the same name value as Conor McGregor<\/p>\n\n\n\n

or Ronda Rousey but it is solid from top to bottom. In the night\u2019s finale, we\u2019ll see UFC<\/p>\n\n\n\n

light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira take on the man who never actually lost the<\/p>\n\n\n\n

title in Jamahal Hill. Neither Athlete has lost while competing in the light heavyweight<\/p>\n\n\n\n

division. Both competitors are known for their heavy striking ability so don\u2019t expect to<\/p>\n\n\n\n

see much of a ground game between these two. One good connection is all it takes for<\/p>\n\n\n\n

a victory and with neither fighter prone to using submission, it should be fast and<\/p>\n\n\n\n

furious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alex Pereira (-145)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The former middleweight champion has settled in since making the change to<\/p>\n\n\n\n

lightweight a year ago. No longer the \u201cnew kid\u201d in the division, Alex Pereira enters the<\/p>\n\n\n\n

octagon on a two fight win streak, which includes a second round TKO stoppage<\/p>\n\n\n\n

against Jiri Prochazka for the light heavyweight championship in his most recent contest<\/p>\n\n\n\n

this past November. In the span of two years, Pereira has won two belts in two different<\/p>\n\n\n\n

divisions while going 6-1 under the UFC banner. The light heavyweight championship<\/p>\n\n\n\n

has only been successfully defended once since Jon Jones sat at the head of the<\/p>\n\n\n\n

division in 2020, with five different title holders since. Can Pereira break the \u201ccurse\u201d of<\/p>\n\n\n\n

the light heavyweight belt?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jamahal Hill (+125)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This will be Hill\u2019s first bout since January 2023 but has carried over his four fight win<\/p>\n\n\n\n

streak which include three via KO\/TKO. In his last contest, Hill went the full five rounds<\/p>\n\n\n\n

against veteran Glover Teixeira, earning his first championship. The victory moved his<\/p>\n\n\n\n

overall pro MMA record to 12-1 with a single no contest. The lone no contest on his pro<\/p>\n\n\n\n

career came back in 2021 but that was due to a failed drug test. After he \u201cwon\u201d his bout<\/p>\n\n\n\n

against Klidson Abreu back in May of 2020, it was eventually overturned to a no contest<\/p>\n\n\n\n

after Hill tested positive for marijuana months later. Following his championship victory<\/p>\n\n\n\n

the 32-year old southpaw saw his career interrupted last summer following a blown<\/p>\n\n\n\n

achilles tendon at a fighter basketball game during International Fight Week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
