Well, they are

the favorites at Euro 2024 but will they still be haunted by that devastating loss to Italy at

Wembley at the last Euro Final? We should find out this summer if the Three Lions can make

amends in Germany.

Group Winner: England -250

Hopes were at an all-time high in Qatar as many thought England would finally break through.

But another disappointing result saw the Three Lions crash out in the quarters to France. But

there is optimism this time around as England breezed through qualifying with six wins and two

draws. And with Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden at the top of their game, England

has shown recently they are the team to beat. But to win it all, the road after the group stage is

tough. There’s a good chance England could face France and Belgium on their side of the

draw, all ranked in the top-4 in the world. And if they get to the final, they could see Spain or

Germany.

Key player: Harry Kane

Harry Kane has been on fire this season scoring 31 goals for Bayern Munich at the March

international break. Playing in Germany should also help him in the tournament as he’ll be

relied on heavily to score for the Three Lions and carry this team deep in the knockout round.

Group Winner: Denmark +400

Denmark won this tournament back in 1992 and almost shocked the continent again at Euro

2020 but bowed out in the semifinal to England. The two teams meet in the second match of

group play. Denmark finished 7-2-1 in the qualifying round and are favored to join England in

the knockout round.

Key player: Rasmus Højlund

The Manchester United star is Denmark’s leading goalscorer with 7 in 12 appearances. The

Dane’s aren’t known for scoring in bunches but will need Højlund to find the back of the net to

ensure qualification.

Group Winner: Serbia +800

As part of Yugoslavia, Serbia was part of the runners-up teams in 1960 and 1968 and also

made the quarters in 2000 as FR Yugoslavia (before becoming Serbia and Montenegro).

This will be Serbia’s first ever appearance as an independent country. Serbia finished second in

qualifying but may be overmatched in group play. They’re led by Aleksandar Mitrovic who

scored 5 goals during qualification.

Group Winner: Slovenia +1200

Slovenia is the longest shot in the group making the Euro’s for just the second time in their

history. Back in 2000, Slovenia was eliminated in the group stage with a loss and two draws.

And exited two World Cup tournaments in the group stage as well. But this team did play well

winning seven of ten qualifying games in a very competitive group. They are one of the longest

shots to win the whole thing, so that tells you their chances of getting out of the group aren’t

very good.

Can England finally end a 58-year old drought by finally winning a major trophy?
