When you look at Group D, it’s fairly simple, Brazil and Colombia, and then the other two teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There\u2019s nothing to suggest that both teams won\u2019t get through but the question is, who finishes<\/p>\n\n\n\n
atop the group? Brazil has been dominant at the Copa America, winning 9 titles. But this squad<\/p>\n\n\n\n
is much different than the past. Will they continue their reign or is this the year another country<\/p>\n\n\n\n
dethrones them in the group stage?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Brazil -250 (Rank: #15)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n They are always dangerous regardless of who\u2019s on the roster and once again Brazil is one of<\/p>\n\n\n\n the favorites at Copa, chasing its tenth title. No Neymar as the 32-year old is out with a knee<\/p>\n\n\n\n injury but Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo are expected to carry the load offensively, along with teenage<\/p>\n\n\n\n sensation Endrick. New coach Dorival J\u00fanior has only been in charge since January and has<\/p>\n\n\n\n two wins and two draws in four matches. Here\u2019s where the intrigue comes into play. Brazilian<\/p>\n\n\n\n legend Ronaldinho criticized the roster selection, calling them the \u2018worst team\u2019 and he would<\/p>\n\n\n\n boycott the tournament. Although he did walk back his comments saying it was all part of an<\/p>\n\n\n\n advertising campaign for a deodorant brand and weren’t his own words. Still, it makes you<\/p>\n\n\n\n wonder if there may be some value on another team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Colombia +250 (Rank: #15)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Colombia seems like the sexy pick of late and likely because of its recent form. A four-game<\/p>\n\n\n\n win streak in 2024, victories against Spain and the Americans. And if you go back further,<\/p>\n\n\n\n Colombia\u2019s last loss, against Argentina in February 2022. An undefeated streak of 23 games<\/p>\n\n\n\n with wins against world powers, Brazil, Germany, and Mexico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The duo of Jefferson Lerma and Daniel Munoz will be key players for the coaching staff and<\/p>\n\n\n\n anything less than reaching the knockout stage would be a major disappointment. And yes, its<\/p>\n\n\n\n Brazil, but Colombia has a great chance to win this group, and with these odds, it may be worth<\/p>\n\n\n\n a shot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Paraguay +1400 (Rank: #15)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Any chance for Paraguay relies mostly on their defense because this team can\u2019t score goals. In<\/p>\n\n\n\n their last four matches, Paraguay has scored no goals, and managed two scoreless draws. And<\/p>\n\n\n\n dating back to September, Paraguay has scored just one goal in either matches. Good luck<\/p>\n\n\n\n trying to find the back of the net against Colombia and Brazil and keeper Carlos Coronel will see<\/p>\n\n\n\n a lot of shots come his way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Costa Rica +2500 (Rank: #15)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n There\u2019s not much expected by Costa Rica as it\u2019s more of a rebuilding phase for the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Keylor Navas, one of the country\u2019s best ever, has retired and this side is overmatched against<\/p>\n\n\n\n some powerful nations.
