With Nick Saban retiring and Texas and Oklahoma both joining the conference, the SEC will<\/p>\n\n\n\n
look very different next season. While Alabama is the defending champs, this looks like<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Georgia\u2019s conference to lose as they are not only the favorites to win the SEC but also to win<\/p>\n\n\n\n
the national title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Georgia Bulldogs (+190)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Since taking over in 2016, Kirby Smart has compiled a record of 56-9 in SEC play and has won<\/p>\n\n\n\n two Conference Championship titles in 2017 and 2022. This team piled up five-star talent and is<\/p>\n\n\n\n looking to make amends for not getting into the playoffs last season, even though they probably<\/p>\n\n\n\n should have. Georgia is led by QB Carson Beck, who could be the top pick in the 2025 NFL<\/p>\n\n\n\n Draft. Defensively, it\u2019s led by All-American candidates, including Mykel Williams and Malaki<\/p>\n\n\n\n Starks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Texas Longhorns (+325)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Longhorns made the College Football Playoffs for the first time last season and will be led<\/p>\n\n\n\n by Heisman contender, Quinn Ewers. There\u2019s a lot of hype around the sophomore quarterback<\/p>\n\n\n\n as he will likely be a top-5 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. While they do have some talent from last<\/p>\n\n\n\n season, Texas lost three pass catchers, two defensive linemen, and a running back, who all<\/p>\n\n\n\n went in the first 101 picks of the 2024 NFL Draft. The Longhorns do have the Bulldogs on the<\/p>\n\n\n\n schedule and that could hurt their chances of making it to the conference title game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Alabama Crimson Tide (+600)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n After leading Washington to the national championship game, Kalen DeBoer looks to take over<\/p>\n\n\n\n from Saban and get this program back to the playoffs. He was able to turn around the Huskies<\/p>\n\n\n\n in just two years and knows about offense as he got Michael Penix Jr. and Rome Odunze<\/p>\n\n\n\n drafted in the top-9 of the 2024 NFL Draft. Jalen Milroe returns behind center, a terrorizing<\/p>\n\n\n\n offensive line, and with a defense full of blue chips, don\u2019t count out the Crimson Tide in the<\/p>\n\n\n\n post-Saban era.<\/p>\n\n\n\n LSU Tigers (+950)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n This conference is full of NFL quarterback prospects and you can add one more to the mix with<\/p>\n\n\n\n Garrett Nussmeier. Over the past two seasons, Nussmeier managed to compile 1,391 yards<\/p>\n\n\n\n with 9 touchdowns on 61.7% passing. The offense will have its\u2019 playmakers but the defense<\/p>\n\n\n\n needs to be better.
