Since 2016, only six

times has a player ranked in the top-15 gone on to win it all. But the last two finals have seen

players ranked in the top 6 in the world so perhaps the trend may be declining. Still, there is

some value available this time around, you just have to find the right play

Iga Swiatek +310

Iga Swiatek’s odds offer some value for the number one ranked player in the world, far ahead of

the competition. Yet, she only has one major to show in 2024. Swiatek was a huge favorite at

Wimbledon but was knocked out in the third round and at the Olympics, would have to settle for

bronze. She is talented, no question, but seems to always find a way to lose concentration

during big moments. Could she recapture her form that saw her win this tournament in 2022? If

she does, there may not be anyone to stop her.

Coco Gauff +550

She is the reigning U.S. Open champion and will look to defend her title on home soil. Coco

Gauff finally had her long awaited breakthrough last year and was able to continue that success

into 2024 where she reached the semi finals at both the Australian Open and French Open.

She’s coming off a disappointing Paris Games where she was eliminated in the Round of 16 as

the number two seed. Gauff will be energized behind American support but we haven’t seen a

back-to-back winner since Serena Williams won three straight from 2012 to 2014.

Naomi Osaka +600

Naomi Osaka’s return to tennis hasn’t taken the world by storm in 2024. After missing all of

2023 she has not been able to get past the second round of a major this year. Osaka did win

this tournament twice back in 2018 and 2020, but these odds seem too short for a player who

hasn’t found her game again. Maybe it happens during this fortnight but there may be value

elsewhere.

Longshot

Barbora Krejcikova +2500

Barbora Krejcikova is looking for back-to-back majors following an upset win at Wimbledon.

She was hoping to continue her run in Paris but bowed out in the quarters. Krejcikova hasn’t

fared well at Flushing Meadows the past two years; eliminated in the second round in 2022 and

the opening round last year. But in a wide open tournament and these odds, she could be a

sleeper play.

2024 Women’s US Open Odds

Iga Swiatek +310

Aryna Sabalenka +450

Coco Gauff +550

Naomi Osaka +600

Elena Rybakina +650

Mirra Andreeva +1200

Jessica Pegula +1400

Marketa Vondrousova +2200

Ons Jabeur +2200

Caroline Garcia +2500

Elina Svitolina +2500

Barbora Krejcikova +2500

Danielle Collins +2500
Maria Sakkari +2800

The U.S. Open is wide open when it comes to the women’s tournament.
