The countdown is well underway to Week 1 of the NFL season as many fans are rooting for their<\/p>\n\n\n\n
teams to start off with a big win. But how many feel their team can start off a perfect 5-0 in the 2024<\/p>\n\n\n\n
campaign? Sportsbooks have set odds on how likely it is for a team to be undefeated after five<\/p>\n\n\n\n
weeks, and we\u2019ll take a look at which teams could make it happen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
5-0 Start – Detroit Lions +600<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Lions upset the Chiefs on opening night last season and went on to win six of their first seven<\/p>\n\n\n\n games finishing with a record of 12-5 to win the NFC North. Detroit begins with four favorable<\/p>\n\n\n\n games and should be 4-0 heading into Week 5. Rams, Bucs, Cards, Seahawks are up first before a<\/p>\n\n\n\n trip to Texas to take on Dallas. The Lions lost to the Cowboys last season so if they are 4-0 at this<\/p>\n\n\n\n point, they\u2019ll be seeking revenge from 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 5-0 Start – Miami Dolphins +550<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Miami\u2019s red hot offense led the team to a 3-0 start in 2023. But their shot at staying undefeated<\/p>\n\n\n\n ended in Week 4 after a loss to the Bills. The Dolphins host Buffalo in Week 2 and if they get past<\/p>\n\n\n\n that game, 5-0 is not out of the question as the next three are against the Seahawks, Titans and the<\/p>\n\n\n\n Patriots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Kansas City Chiefs +550<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n To no one\u2019s surprise the Chiefs have short odds to start 5-0. After last season’s upset loss to Detroit,<\/p>\n\n\n\n KC would win six straight before losing in Week 8 to Denver. The Chiefs open against the Ravens<\/p>\n\n\n\n and the Bengals. Two tough teams but if they can get past them, 5-0 is more than likely with games<\/p>\n\n\n\n against the Falcons, Chargers and Saints.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 5-0 Start – Chicago Bears +350<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n This seems a bit odd given the Bears started last season 0-4. But the expectation is much greater<\/p>\n\n\n\n with Caleb Williams, the first overall pick, at the helm. First up, Tennessee. But after that, Chicago<\/p>\n\n\n\n visits C.J. Stroud and the Texans, who are considered an AFC favorite. The Colts, Rams and<\/p>\n\n\n\n Panthers are left after that, but these are the Bears so unless there\u2019s some inside information, this<\/p>\n\n\n\n would be a line to avoid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 5-0 Start – San Francisco 49ers +140<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Speaking of lines to avoid, sure the 49ers are a powerhouse and sure they may win the Super Bowl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But at +140 that number is too low to wait five weeks to cash in. But when you look at the<\/p>\n\n\n\n opponents, it really is almost a cake walk. At home to start the season against Aaron Rodgers and<\/p>\n\n\n\n the Jets. Then Vikings, Rams, Patriots and the Cardinals. San Fran may look to get off on a big<\/p>\n\n\n\n role before a Super Bowl rematch against the Chiefs in Week 7.
