Another offseason means another round of new coaches in the NFL. This time there were eight<\/p>\n\n\n\n
new hires but there was no bigger splash than Jim Harbaugh landing with the Chargers. And in<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Atlanta, Raheem Morris takes over a franchise with some fabulous offensive pieces and now<\/p>\n\n\n\n
adds Kirk Cousins to the mix. The race for Coach of the Year goes deeper than just these two.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Raheem Morris (+700)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Raheem Morris gets his second stint with Atlanta, albeit the first time was an interim role in<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2020. Morris inherits a roster full of young offensive stars in Kyle Pitts, Drake London and Bijan<\/p>\n\n\n\n Robinson. The missing link was a quarterback but that was addressed by the signing of<\/p>\n\n\n\n Cousins. They also added Michael Penix Jr. through the draft. Still, Morris has worked with<\/p>\n\n\n\n some of the best coaches in the game and helped the Rams win the Super Bowl as their<\/p>\n\n\n\n defensive coordinator. If the Falcons defense steps up, Morris will be in the mix for this award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Matt Eberflus, Bears (+800)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Will the Bears finally turn it around? Well if they don\u2019t Matt Ebeflus will likely be unemployed<\/p>\n\n\n\n next year. But with the team moving on from Justin Fields and drafting Caleb Williams, the<\/p>\n\n\n\n future looks promising. Chicago signed running back D’Andre Swift and receiver Darnell<\/p>\n\n\n\n Mooney, and traded for Keenan Allen, and added rookie wideout Rome Odunze. They are<\/p>\n\n\n\n giving Williams the support needed for a rookie quarterback. So if they are successful and<\/p>\n\n\n\n make the playoffs, Eberflus will be a finalist for this award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jim Harbaugh (+1000)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n After winning the college national championship with Michigan Jim Harbaugh will look to turn<\/p>\n\n\n\n around a franchise with a star quarterback, some great defensive pieces but a team that always<\/p>\n\n\n\n lacked coaching. The last time Harbaugh took a job in the NFL he won this award, hence why<\/p>\n\n\n\n he\u2019s one of the shorter prices on the market. In 2011 he led the San Francisco 49ers to a 13-3<\/p>\n\n\n\n record, any record near this mark would all but secure Coach of the Year honors for Harbaugh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Matt LaFleur (+1200)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n In his first full season without Aaron Rodgers, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur finished with a<\/p>\n\n\n\n 9-8 record, upset the Cowboys in the Super Wild Card round and almost upset the 49ers in the<\/p>\n\n\n\n divisional round. Overall, in five seasons, LaFleur has a .675 winning percentage but has never<\/p>\n\n\n\n taken this award.
