There have been six different passing leaders in the past six seasons. And last year, the top<\/p>\n\n\n\n
three passers were separated by just over 100 yards. So the passing title in 2024-25 is up for<\/p>\n\n\n\n
grabs with Patrick Mahomes as the favorite. But there are decent odds with others. Let\u2019s see<\/p>\n\n\n\n
who are the favorites and where you could find some value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Favorites<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs (+500)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n He is a three-time Super Bowl champion, and won the passing title in 2022 and now the favorite<\/p>\n\n\n\n to win this year. Mahomes finished sixth last year, despite receivers having led the NFL in<\/p>\n\n\n\n dropped passes. The Chiefs added more weapons for Mahomes in Marquise Brown and rookie<\/p>\n\n\n\n speedster, Xavier Worthy. Mahomes should be able to throw for even more yards with a better<\/p>\n\n\n\n core of receivers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n C.J. Stroud, Houston Texans (+700)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n If you feel there won\u2019t be a sophomore slump with C.J.Stroud, then he could be a good play at<\/p>\n\n\n\n these odds. His rookie campaign was impressive as the 22-year-old threw for 4,108 yards in 15<\/p>\n\n\n\n games. The Texans are a pass-first team which now features Stefon Diggs along with Nico<\/p>\n\n\n\n Collins, and Tank Dell. They also added RB Joe Mixon who can catch from the backfield. If<\/p>\n\n\n\n defenses can\u2019t figure out Stroud, look for him to put up big passing numbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins (+800)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Tua Tagovailoa won this title last season with 4,624 passing yards last year and his receivers<\/p>\n\n\n\n seemed to only get better. The Dolphins added Odell Beckham Jr. to go with Tyreek Hill and<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jaylen Waddle. Throw in running backs Raheem Mostert and De’Von Achane and Miami has<\/p>\n\n\n\n arguably the most feared NFL offense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Value Plays<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers (+2000)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n After sitting behind Aaron Rodgers for a few years Jordan Love impressed in his first season<\/p>\n\n\n\n with the Packers. He threw for 4,159 yards last year with the majority of his production coming<\/p>\n\n\n\n in the back half of the season. Green Bay has a young nucleus on offense and Love will only<\/p>\n\n\n\n get better in his second season as starter. Sprinkling a bit of cash at these odds isn\u2019t a bad<\/p>\n\n\n\n idea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers (+2800)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Despite being a run-heavy squad, Brock Purdy still threw for 4,280 yards with the 49ers and<\/p>\n\n\n\n should get more opportunities to throw in 2024. He has the targets, including CMC, who was a<\/p>\n\n\n\n beast coming out of the backfield.
