out there, but there are also young talented backs who become even more valuable on their<\/p>\n\n\n\n
rookie deals. We\u2019ll take a look at who could lead the league in rushing in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Christian McCaffrey, San Francisco 49ers +350<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n While the 49ers drafted RB Ricky Pearsall in the first round, Christian McCaffrey remains the<\/p>\n\n\n\n team’s most important offensive weapon. He led the league in rushing with 1,459 yards and<\/p>\n\n\n\n was named Offensive Player of the Year. Barring injury, McCaffrey should contend for this title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n His offensive line is strong and should give him plenty of room to rack up the yards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jonathan Taylor, Indianapolis Colts +750<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n After holding out for a new contract, Jonathan Taylor got a 3-year deal and played just 10<\/p>\n\n\n\n games in 2023 posting career-lows with 74.1 yards per game and 4.4 yards per carry. The 2021<\/p>\n\n\n\n rushing leader should have a better 2024 as he\u2019ll have a full offseason to get ready. The<\/p>\n\n\n\n downside for Taylor is he hasn\u2019t played a full 17-game season since 2021, where he averaged<\/p>\n\n\n\n 106.5 yards a game. If he can return to that production level, he\u2019ll be in contention for another<\/p>\n\n\n\n rushing title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia Eagles +900<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Saquon Barkley ran for 1,000 yards or more in three of his six seasons in New York where he<\/p>\n\n\n\n played in front of a terrible offensive line. Now imagine what he can do with the Eagles, who<\/p>\n\n\n\n have been one of the top rushing teams in recent years. Philadelphia loves to pound the ball<\/p>\n\n\n\n and now they have a big, skilled back who could run it down a team\u2019s throat this season. But the<\/p>\n\n\n\n most important thing for Barkley will be can he stay healthy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n WORTH A SHOT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Kyren Williams, LA Rams +1400<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Kyren Williams was a revelation for the Rams last year running for 1,144 in 12 games. He was<\/p>\n\n\n\n on pace for 1,620 yards but injuries slowed him down.
