Week 4 consists of some key conference matchups along with important games for schools who<\/p>\n\n\n\n
still want to be a playoff contender. As the week goes there will be some betting value available<\/p>\n\n\n\n
but for now we\u2019re going to target a handful of games, while the spreads are big, we feel these<\/p>\n\n\n\n
teams should cover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Penn State (-49) vs. Kent State<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n OK, normally it\u2019s not smart to lay 7 touchdowns but consider this; Kent State gave up 65 points<\/p>\n\n\n\n to Tennessee last week, IN THE FIRST HALF! The final score was 71-0. The Golden Flashes<\/p>\n\n\n\n also lost to an FCS team giving up 55 points to Pittsburgh. Penn State has just scored 34<\/p>\n\n\n\n points in each of their first two games but shouldn\u2019t have a problem running up the scoreline<\/p>\n\n\n\n Saturday. The Nittany Lions need an offensive outburst before conference play, and coming off<\/p>\n\n\n\n a bye week, Kent State is the perfect prey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Miami-OH vs Notre Dame (-27)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n After that upset loss to Northern Illinois, Notre Dame knows what it needs to do, hammer teams<\/p>\n\n\n\n by big margins. Miami-Ohio has scored just 11 points a game in losses to Northwestern and<\/p>\n\n\n\n Cincinnati and allowed 182 rushing yards per game. The Irish should be able to find big holes<\/p>\n\n\n\n in the ground attack while the defense will look to create a couple of turnovers. All this leads to<\/p>\n\n\n\n the Irish winning big and covering the spread. In the last meeting Notre Dame beat Miami OH<\/p>\n\n\n\n 52-17 back in 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n UCLA vs LSU (-23)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Tigers are coming off a huge win at South Carolina and need to get on a bit of a roll with a<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2-1 record. LSU is 9-2 against the spread as home favorites under Brian Kelly and face a UCLA<\/p>\n\n\n\n team that hasn\u2019t fared well losing last week 42-13 to Indiana. The Bruins ground game has<\/p>\n\n\n\n been paltry at best just 3.5 yards a carry while quarterback Ethan Garbers is completing just<\/p>\n\n\n\n 54% of his passes. LSU should be able to put up points with ease and should cover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n South Carolina (-27) vs. Akron<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Gamecocks deserved better last week losing a heartbreaker to LSU. But expect them to<\/p>\n\n\n\n rebound in a big way. South Carolina has a bye after this game and wants to go into the break<\/p>\n\n\n\n feeling good. No better way than pummeling Akron. The Gamecocks already beat Kentucky by<\/p>\n\n\n\n 25 this season. As for Akron, they gave up 52 points to Ohio State and 49 points to Rutgers.
