It will be Super Bowl LVI and take place on February 2, 2020 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. Now the good news–there’s really no way it can be worse than the monstrosity that was Super Bowl LIII. And here’s some more good news–you can already get a bet down on Super Bowl LVI. Now some more bad news–there’s a decent chance that the New England Patriots or Los Angeles Rams will be back in the big game. At least they’re among the top three favorites to win Super Bowl LIV meaning that they won’t be banned from appearing in the Super Bowl for the next three years due to the shoddy performance they put on in the last one.

The current odds to win Super Bowl LIV 2020 have the New England Patriots–who somehow managed to win Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams despite scoring fewer points than any winning team in Super Bowl history–atop the betting board at +600. So what could be worse than the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl? How about the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl? The pride of America’s Siberia is the second betting choice in the Super Bowl futures hit parade at +700. Next up is the Los Angeles Rams who are +800 to make it back to the Super Bowl but win this time. The Only other team priced at +1000 is the NFL’s answer to Nancy Kerrigan, the New Orleans Saints who are +1000 to win Super Bowl LIV. One can assume that they might be expecting to just receive the berth in the game as a make good for the horrible injustices that have been foisted upon them this year.

For the good of all humanity, we can only hope that none of the aforementioned favorites end up in the Super Bowl. Hopefully, there will be some new blood in Miami come February 2020. The next tier of betting interests are led by the Chicago Bears at +1400 followed by the Indianapolis Colts, Los Angeles Chargers, Minnesota Vikings and San Francisco 49ers all at +1600. The Green Bay Packers are somehow priced at +2000 despite their terrible showing in 2019. Hope springs eternal I guess. Also at +2000 are the Philadelphia Eagles followed by the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers at +2200. The Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans are +2500 with the Atlanta Falcons at +2800.

The long shots? Don’t expect to see the first ever Super Bowl team playing in a de facto home game. The Miami Dolphins are by far the biggest longshot in the table at +10000. They’re behind nine teams at +6600: the Arizona Cardinals, Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals, Denver Broncos, Detroit Lions, New York Jets, the Oakland/Las Vegas Raiders, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Washington Redskins.

First the bad news–the NFL will once again have a Super Bowl in 2020.
