The Ultimate Fighting Championship will make its way to Boston, Massachusetts and the TD Garden for the UFC Fight Night: Reyes vs. Weidman card this Saturday night. While there won\u2019t be any championship belts on the line, there will be plenty of opportunities to make some money betting on the main card. After analyzing the card, here are three fights where there appears to be some good value on the betting lines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reyes made his highlight anticipated return to the Octagon with a split decision win over Vladimir Oezdemir to improve to 11-0 back in March. However, while he got the win, he took a fair amount of punishment and didn\u2019t look nearly as dominant as he had previously. Next up for Reyes is a showdown with Weidman, who has lost four of his last five fights overall. Once considered a rising star in the division, it looks like the 35-year-old is approaching that point when we can acknowledge he just doesn\u2019t have it anymore. His defense has been bad in recent fights and his wrestling isn\u2019t great. He\u2019ll have to outwrestle and outmuscle a guy who is far more powerful, and Reyes is clearly the better striker. Look for him to get to 12-0 and for Weidman to put forth another strong effort, but to take another loss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The UFC has done a tremendous job building up Hardy as a potential rising star in the heavyweight division but let\u2019s be honest, he\u2019s mostly fought cupcakes. He\u2019s 6-0, but he really hasn\u2019t faced off with any high caliber opponents to this point. That won\u2019t change when he challenges Sosoli on Saturday. Sosoli isn\u2019t the biggest fighter for a heavyweight and he isn\u2019t in outstanding shape either. One of his profile pictures shows a six-pack drawn-in on his stomach with a sharpie marker where he clearly does not actually have a six-pack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After putting together back-to-back TKO wins in his last two bouts, Hardy should be able to continue on that track moving forward. It\u2019s a stepping stone bout for him and he should take care of business. It\u2019s a lot of juice here, so if you don\u2019t want to lay this price on it\u2019s own, consider it in a parlay with Reyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Barber is another young fighter that enters this event with a perfect record to date. However, unlike Hardy, she won\u2019t get the benefit of fighting an opponent she should easily defeat. Robertson will be Barber\u2019s most difficult challenge to date. She\u2019s a submission specialist that likes to get her opponents on the ground and make them tap. None of her last six bouts have gone the distance. Barber is also strong on the ground too, though, with a powerful game when she\u2019s gets on top. Both fighters may look to avoid the takedowns, which should give the edge to Barber if this fight is fought standing. She looks like she\u2019s getting bigger and stronger, as six of her previous bouts have ended early. I\u2019d bet she gets that seventh stoppage on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
