There are a few games that sharp bettors are staying away from in Week 8 of the NFL season<\/a>. If something looks too easy, there\u2019s usually a reason behind it, and you don\u2019t want to blow your bankroll on what you think is a lock midway through the campaign. We were right when we told you to look elsewhere if you were considering betting on the Los Angeles Chargers last week, so keep these popular picks in mind when capping this week\u2019s action. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

GAMES TO AVOID IN WEEK 8<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

LOS ANGELES CHARGERS +4 AT CHICAGO BEARS<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Your eyes aren\u2019t deceiving you. The Chargers are on this list again. This team continues to lose games in heartbreaking ways, but many people love their chances against the Bears in the Windy City this week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chicago is a mess. It\u2019s becoming more and more clear that Mitch Trubisky is not the right person to quarterback the Bears. This team has lost two games in a row, and Trubisky\u2019s numbers were padded by garbage time in a loss at Soldier Field against the Saints last week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bears haven\u2019t helped Trubisky by developing a competent run game. Tarik Cohen and David Montgomery have had scant success on the ground, so many have the Chargers covering or even winning outright on the moneyline odds<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are some reasons to believe Chicago can win this game by more than a touchdown though. The Chargers have one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL, and we saw what Trubisky can do against terrible secondaries. LA is allowing 8.2 yards per pass this year, and that\u2019s with opponents targeting these defensive backs more than any other team. We saw what Ryan Tannehill did against this defense last week, so there\u2019s plenty of reason to believe that Trubisky can have similar success. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On defense, Chicago is due for a bounce back game. The Bears have one of the most talented defenses in the NFL, and these Monsters of the Midway have been embarrassed by Oakland and New Orleans these last two weeks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chargers have no run game, allowing the Bears to key in on Rivers and the passing game. Don\u2019t be surprised if Rivers has one of his worst games of this year, and betting the under on his NFL player props<\/a> isn\u2019t a bad idea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS -6.5 AT ATLANTA FALCONS<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Everyone is jumping off the Falcons bandwagon. Dan Quinn might be the next coach fired since Atlanta is 1-6 so far this season, and this team is one that everyone is looking to fade before the perceived value is lost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seattle has always been a public favorite. Russell Wilson is one of the top quarterbacks in the game, but there isn\u2019t much talent on the team aside from the Super Bowl winning QB. Tyler Lockett is the team\u2019s top receiver, and the luster has worn off rookie D.K. Metcalf. Chris Carson is averaging just 4.1 YPA, and Wilson is having to do it by himself far too often.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Falcons don\u2019t have a great defense, but the Seahawks are dealing with a lot of injuries along their offensive line. Their top three offensive tackles have been limited in practice this week, and that\u2019s not a good thing when you\u2019re going against an Atlanta defense that can still get after the passer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Atlanta has the weapons to light up the scoreboard too. Although the Falcons dealt Mohamed Sanu to New England, Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley are excellent receivers and Matt Ryan has the arm talent to pick apart Seattle\u2019s secondary. The Seahawks are dealing with some major injuries in their secondary, and top pass rusher Ziggy Ansah is limited too, so Atlanta should over its team total<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This game has the potential to be very high scoring, and high-scoring games don\u2019t suit Seattle well. Additionally, the Seahawks have only defeated one team by more than four points this season, so taking them to cover 6.5 on the road is tough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
