The\nIowa State Cyclones hope that whatever happened to the Oklahoma\ndefense in the Sooners\u2019 most recent game will continue to plague\nthem in this game. The strong Oklahoma defense seen in the first half\nof the 2019 season was not present in the game against Kansas State\ntwo weeks ago. The Sooners couldn\u2019t stop either the run or the pass\nas the Wildcats ran for 213 yards and passed for 213 as well. The\n426-yard total for the KSU offense wasn\u2019t the most important\nnumber; the time of possession was. The Wildcats\u2019 biggest held the\nball for 38, scoring slowly and painfully on most of its drives while\nmilking the clock. Iowa State should have the weapons to do the same\nas they\u2019ll definitely follow the game plan. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And\nbefore you think that Iowa State can\u2019t win in Oklahoma, remember\nthat ISU head coach Matt Campbell did precisely that two years ago.\nHe won in Norman as ISU\u2019s head coach in 2017, giving Lincoln Riley\nhis first painful loss as Oklahoma\u2019s head coach. Iowa State also\nplayed them close last year too in a 37-27 loss. The Cyclones are a\ntricky opponent which can give Oklahoma all sorts of problems if the\nSooners don\u2019t fix their defense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nOklahoma defense will rebound here as Iowa State won\u2019t be able to\nstick to the same game plan that Kansas State put together. More\nimportantly, the Sooners defense will be much more focused to ensure\nthat a second straight sloppy effort does not take place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Iowa\nState is much weaker on the road as they score 41.2 at home compared\nto 31.0 on the road, while also averaging 62 yards less of offense.\nLook for the Sooners to roll here with the game staying under the\nnumber.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
