This week\u2019s PGA Tour event is a special one as the Hero World Challenge is an invite-only event hosted by Tiger Woods. The golfers will head to the Bahamas to play at Albany Golf Course for the fifth straight year. There are a couple of quirks with this event as there just 18 players in the field and there will be no cuts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Let\u2019s take a closer look at this event and give you a full rundown of what you\u2019ll need to know betting it:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Albany Golf Course is located in New Province, Bahamas. The first thing you\u2019ll want to note here is that this course can get windy, which is kind of similar to a number of others we\u2019ve seen this fall. We don\u2019t know for sure that it will be gusty but if it gets windy, it\u2019ll be a bigger factor here than in most places. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The course will play as a par 72 with five holes being Par 5\u2019s, five Par 3\u2019s and eight Par 4\u2019s. Overall, it measures about 7400 yards, so expect golfers with the big sticks to have an edge here. This is an exposed course with plenty of bunkers throughout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The big drivers will have an advantage here as they should be able to drill it off the tee on the par 5\u2019s and get to the green in two. Along with a good Par 5 scoring average, you\u2019ll want to look for players who have high birdie or better percentage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Also, it\u2019s early in the season, so it\u2019s worth mentioning that players who have been active should have an edge here over those who have not played in a while.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jon Rahm is the favorite this week at +400 but as mentioned, there are only 18 golfers in the field. That means that we don\u2019t have any crazy longshots. The longest odds in the field are Chez Reavie, who is at +4000. We have five golfers who are at 10\/1 or shorter, and 12 who are at 18\/1 or shorter. That\u2019s a very crowded crop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The five players with the shortest odds are Rahm, Justin Thomas (+650), Patrick Cantlay (+850), Tiger Woods (+900) and Xander Schauffele (+1000).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Keep in mind that Top 10 props are a breeze this week with only 18 players in the field. All but three golfers are at EVEN money or shorter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are a number of props on the board for this even, including \u2018will or won\u2019t\u2019 win odds for Rahm, Thomas and Woods. Woods is at +900 to win and -2000 to NOT win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are also a few props on the board focused on how big of a margin the win will be, will a playoff be needed and will a playoff feature three or more players. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
You can also bet on the winning nationality, which sees the USA at -500 with non-USA at +350.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
