Representatives\nwill vote on whether to impeach Trump next week, and it\u2019s expected\nthat the vote will break on party lines. That means the motion should\npass the House with relative ease, but it\u2019s considered very\nunlikely to pass the Senate. Many senators are loyal\nadherents to the sitting POTUS, and they have been adamant defenders\nof Trump since he was elected. It\u2019s highly improbable that any GOP\nSenator moves against Trump now, barring a smoking gun that proves\nTrump is guilty of the charges. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The timing of the\nproceedings make it likely that Trump will\nremain in office<\/a> too. We are less than 11 months away\nfrom the next United States Presidential Election, and Trump\u2019s\npower is still strong. His support among voters means that no one\nwill want to move against him, and the Republicans will want to be as\nunified as possible before a presidential election to maximize their\nvotes. That\u2019s why the three challengers to Trump in the Republican\nPrimaries are largely dismissed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, there\nare reports of disagreements between McConnell and Trump over how to\nhandle the impeachment proceedings. While McConnell is pragmatic and\nwants to dismiss all charges as soon as possible in order to bolster\nthe GOP\u2019s chances in the 2020 Presidential Election, Trump wants to\nturn the event into a spectacle. The former reality show star wants\nto see everything play out like a television drama, and that could\ncomplicate things for himself and the GOP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The longer the\nproceedings play out, the worse things are likely to be for Trump.\nMcConnell knows this and is constantly going to be asking his whip to\ncount the votes in order to get the indictment charges dismissed as\nsoon as possible, but the POTUS is hoping to drag things out in hopes\nof seeing it all blow up in Democrats\u2019 faces. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With all this in\nmind, the best bet\non this prop<\/a> is the \u2018No\u2019 option. Trump\u2019s chances\nof being removed from office are less than 10 percent, and Teflon Don\ncontinues to defy conventional wisdom with his staying power. Trump\nhas survived scandals that would sink anyone else, and it doesn\u2019t\nappear that the current charges against him have the weight to remove\nhim considering what he has already overcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Trump to be removed from office via impeachment, there needs to be a mountain of evidence with a proverbial smoking gun that his supporters can\u2019t ignore. That\u2019s unlikely to happen unless someone in his inner circle flips, but the only option appears to be former advisor John Bolton. Everyone else has remained loyal to Trump no matter the circumstances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
