Here are the current odds from the biggest underdogs to the biggest favorite

10. MATT NAGY (CHI) +3300

The 2018 Coach of the Year got a boost after a national TV defeat of the Cowboys, which just so happened to be Chicago’s third straight. However, Nagy’s chances are especially slim considering the Bears have virtually no chance of making the playoffs. Granted, if he pulls it off, he may deserve to win the award.

9. BILL BELICHICK (NE) +2000

Belichick’s MVP odds are imploding about as quickly as New England’s offense. Not only has his team looked off for about six weeks, but Spygate 2 is in full effect. That’s certainly going to turn off a few voters. If Belichick does defy the odds and take home the hardware, he’ll tie Don Shula for the most Coach of the Year awards in NFL history.

T-7. ANDY REID (KC) +1400

The Chiefs are rounding into form and already have the AFC West locked up. The problem is they’re not performing as well as they did in 2018. They’ll need to win out to have the same record and their offense is averaging nearly seven fewer points per game than last season.

T-7. SEAN PAYTON (NO) +1400

Payton arguably deserves better odds considering the adversity the Saints have overcome. Drew Brees missed all of five games and most of a sixth. Alvin Kamara seems to be dealing with an injury as well. Still, the Saints won the NFC South and are in the driver’s seat for a first-round bye.

T-5. PETE CARROLL (SEA) +1000

Despite all of Carroll’s accomplishments, he has yet to take home a Coach of the Year award in the NFL. He has an outside shot of winning one this season. Seattle would have to win out and finish 13-3, which would make them NFC West champions and give them the first or second seed in the NFC. Even if he does, it’s likely there will be other coaches who were more successful or overcame more adversity.

T-5. MATT LAFLEUR (GB) +1000

LaFleur’s first season in Green Bay has him atop the NFC North rankings and, if the season ended today, they’d be the NFC’s number-two seed. Perhaps his biggest claim to the award is how much the Packers have improved over last year. At 6-9-1, the 2018 Packers finished third in their division.

4. MIKE TOMLIN (PIT) +500

Mike Tomlin once managed Ben Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell on the same team. That should have been his crowning achievement, but now the Steelers have a legitimate shot to make the playoffs with a decimated roster. Devlin Hodges is the quarterback and he’s been winning without James Conner or JuJu Smith-Schuster. The Steelers should be closer to the first pick in the draft than the postseason, but they’re 8-5. Tomlin deserves a ton of credit.

3. JOHN HARBAUGH (BAL) +475

The Ravens were good last season, but they’re something else entirely this season. Lamar Jackson has transformed the offense and his team looks unstoppable. They’ve won nine in a row and beat the Steelers, Seahawks, Patriots, Texans, Rams, 49ers and Bills. Harbaugh will be deserving if his team can hold on to the AFC’s top seed.

2. SEAN MCDERMOTT (BUF) +400

The Bills don’t have the greatest roster but they’re 9-4 and have a chance to unseat New England for the AFC East title. That would obviously be a big accomplishment since the Patriots have only failed to win the division once since 2003. McDermott’s problem will be Buffalo’s schedule, which was one of the easiest in the league.

KYLE SHANAHAN (SF) +200

Shanahan’s 49ers are tied with Baltimore for the best record in the NFL. Though the 49ers lost to Harbaugh’s Ravens, Shanahan’s incredible turnaround will work in his favor. In April, San Francisco had the second pick in the draft after a 4-12 season. Now they’re a Super Bowl contender. Shanahan checks all the boxes.

Get the latest NFL football odds and information–follow BetOnline.ag on Twitter!

BetOnline.ag on Instagram–Follow for the latest odds, stats and information!

The Coach of the Year race is rapidly comping to a close.
