We\u2019re rolling now. I\u2019ve likely already blew up the last mock draft you looked at with my pick at No. 3. Let\u2019s see what more damage I can do. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. LOS ANGELES CHARGERS \u2013 JEDRICK WILLIS JR., OT, ALABAMA<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

(6-5, 320)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I hear talk about Philip Rivers retiring and maybe the Chargers being in play for a QB here. I don\u2019t buy it. They should draft one later in the draft, sure, maybe even trade back up into the first round to grab one like the Ravens did two years ago with Lamar Jackson. Right now, though, they need to keep Rivers alive and if they\u2019re going to continue to saddle him with one of the worst coaching staffs in football, they can at least protect his blind side. Willis is ranked anywhere from Nos 1-4 on people\u2019s draft lists, but, again, don\u2019t outsmart yourself. He\u2019s played on one of the best teams in the NCAA for three years, beat out future NFL talent for his job every day in practice and blocked NFL-level pass rushers every Saturday. Pick this guy and solve that problem on your line for 10-12 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. CAROLINA PANTHERS \u2013 JEFF OKUDAH, CB, OHIO STATE<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

(6-1, 200) 2019: 34 tackles, 1 for a loss, nine passes defended, one forced fumble<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I don\u2019t believe for a minute the new coach of the Panthers will keep Cam Newton on the trading block and, if he does, then they definitely hired the wrong guy. They need to take the best defensive player available and most people fill like it\u2019s Okudah. If he falls here, they should basically charge the podium with the pick the minute they\u2019re on the clock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8. ARIZONA CARDINALS \u2013 JERRY JEUDY, WR, ALABAMA<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

(6-1, 218) 2019: 71 catches, 959 yards, nine touchdowns<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019re going to see a lot of defensive picks tossed here for the Cardinals, but I\u2019m telling you now, there\u2019s no way Kliff Kingsbury doesn\u2019t make this pick happen if Jeudy is still there at eight. Larry Fitzgerald is probably going to retire. If he doesn\u2019t this offseason, at some point he has to, right? Arizona needs a playmaker and Jeudy is exactly that guy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9. JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS \u2013 ISAIAH SIMMONS, SAFETY, CLEMSON<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

(6-4, 230) 2019: 97 tackles, 14.5 for a loss, seven sacks, three interceptions, six passes defended<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you look at the Jaguars\u2019 depth chart, it\u2019s no secret as to why they finished 6-10 this season. Currently 15 guys are on IR and eight of them are on defense. They could go D-line here and there\u2019s justification for that, but I say pick Simmons, who might sneakily be the best overall player in the draft. This could be their Ed Reed or Earl Thomas. Just don\u2019t, you know, trade him to the Rams in four years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

10. CLEVELAND BROWNS \u2013 TRISTAN WIRFS, OL, IOWA<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

(6-5, 322)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new regime makes a new start by not trying to build an offensive line from other teams\u2019 scrap piles. Wirfs would be the best OL on Cleveland\u2019s roster tomorrow and they can play him on either side, depending on who else they manage to convince to come to Cleveland. Either way, you\u2019re set for the next two presidential administrations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
