The NFL regular season has come to a conclusion and the playoffs are all set with the matchups and seedings in place. With that, the oddsmakers have released the updated Super Bowl odds with the final 12 teams in the running. Let\u2019s take a look at the opening odds as the Wild Card Weekend Games approach:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the odds, it is the Baltimore Ravens\u2019 Super Bowl to lose. The Ravens are the obvious choice as they finished the season with the best record in the NFL and defeated the San Francisco 49ers and New England Patriots. Their offenses set all sorts, leading the NFL in scoring with 33.2 points per game while quarterback Lamar Jackson is expected to be named the league MVP. Baltimore gets home-field advantage against any possible opponent in the AFC Championship Game. The Kansas City Chiefs have a decent chance of facing the Ravens in the AFC title game, but it will be very hard for the Chiefs to beat both the Patriots and Ravens in consecutive weeks. However, the Chiefs did beat Baltimore earlier this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The NFC is more complicated because five of the six playoff teams won at least 10 games. The 49ers are the top seed, but New Orleans often looked like the best team in the conference. The Saints would have to win three games to make the Super Bowl and they\u2019ll have to go through Green Bay and Lambeau Field if they\u2019re to advance. The Frozen Tundra is never easy to deal with at this time of year. Meanwhile, some people feel the Seattle Seahawks are a quality sleeper bet. They\u2019ll likely not have home-field advantage at any point this postseason but they finished the regular season 7-1 in away games. That tied them with New Orleans and San Francisco as the best road record this season in the NFC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The longshots for the Super Bowl could also include the Philadelphia Eagles (priced at +2500), but these are the four biggest longshots. Minnesota is the sixth seed in the NFC and has played terribly in the past few weeks, losing two straight and three of five to end the year. The idea of the Vikings beating the Saints, the 49ers, and then either the Packers or Seahawks in three straight weeks seems very unlikely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the AFC, either the Bills or Texans would likely have to win in Baltimore and Kansas City after winning the Wild Card game. Neither team has had much playoff success in a long time. The Texans have made the playoffs in four of the last five seasons but have just one win to show for it (a win over the Connor Cook-led Oakland Raiders) while the Bills haven\u2019t won a playoff game since 1999. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
