Although the NBA season hasn\u2019t even hit the All-Star break, the talk of the 2020 NBA Draft has begun thanks to Memphis\u2019 James Wiseman declaring early. He\u2019s among the favorites to be the top pick in the upcoming draft but is he the best bet? Let\u2019s take a closer look at the 2020 NBA Draft props<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JAMES WISEMAN
ODDS: -125<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

This is the favorite for the top pick at the moment and the placement is justified. Wiseman barely played college basketball at Memphis, which means teams won\u2019t have a ton of film on him, but it also means he won\u2019t get injured this season, unlike Cole Anthony of North Carolina, another contender for top-pick status. Wiseman will be physically fresh and what\u2019s more is that he will have a chip on his shoulder as a result of the NCAA making him ineligible at Memphis. Wiseman, more than the other top pick candidates, has a lot to prove and will have considerable internal motivation. The Golden State Warriors are in the running for the top pick and they could use a strong presence on the inside. They are fairly set at the back-court positions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ANTHONY EDWARDS
ODDS: +125<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The reality surrounding Edwards is that his offensive game is not as polished as one might expect or hope for in a top pick. Scouts are noticing some small but real limitations which make a difference when choosing between the top pick and the second pick in the draft. Edwards is still agile and talented, and it is clear that he knows how to create his own shots and do the things an elite scorer is able to do. However, is his two-way game fully developed to the point that teams will trust him more than James Wiseman? The big question is who\u2019ll have the top pick in the draft? If it\u2019s the Warriors, they don\u2019t need a shooting guard. If it\u2019s the Hawks, Edwards is likely to be the top pick in the draft as he\u2019d slide in nicely next to Trae Young.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LAMELO BALL
ODDS: +500<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Ball\u2019s draft status is very likely to be dependent on who is in position to have the top pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. Ball, who has been compared to legendary point guard Penny Hardaway, isn\u2019t going to get drafted by the Warriors or Hawks as both teams are set at point guard. Both teams need help in other positions. If it\u2019s the New York Knicks, Ball makes a lot of sense as they need someone to run their offense and given how desperate they are for a star, Ball (and his dad) would at least get people talking about the Knicks once again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

COLE ANTHONY
ODDS: +600<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The success of Coby White, a North Carolina product, with the Chicago Bulls gives credence to the idea that Cole Anthony, another North Carolina guard, will be able to handle the transition to the NBA quite well. The fact that Cole is the son of longtime NBA veteran Greg Anthony will help him in the draft process as Anthony will know exactly what to do. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The problem is his small body and the fact that he has suffered an injury this season at North Carolina which has significantly limited his playing time. He\u2019s quite likely to go in the Top 10 but he\u2019s not in the conversation for the top spot as of right now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
