We’ve reached the end of our arbitrary road that I’ve decided stops at 10. As I said in Part 1, this is a deep free agent class, with specialists across the board. Narrowing it down to 10 was legitimately tough, so these guys at the end of the list really had to make their case.

8. ROBBY ANDERSON, UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENT

2019: 52 catches, 779 yards, five touchdowns

Like Emmanuel Sanders a few spots
above him, Anderson is a guy that shouldn’t be expected to be your
No. 1 wideout. He’s a No. 2 and, ideally, a No. 3 you roll out to
scare the jock strap off a safety as he streaks down the field with
his 4.34 40 time.

Anderson has been productive every
year since the Jets signed him as an undrafted free agent out of
Temple in 2016. In his second season he flirted with 1,000 yards and
caught 63 passes from the likes of Josh McCown and Bryce Petty, who’s
not even in the NFL anymore and probably changed your oil at the
QuickLube last Thursday.

Where he should end up: New York
Jets

The Jets have invested time,
development and a roster spot in Anderson and there’s no reason to
see another team reap the rewards. Guys with his size (6-3, 190) that
can run that fast are rare and, with consistent quarterback play and
a second year in Adam Gase’s system, Anderson could go from a solid
No. 2 or 3 to a freakish No. 1.

9. BRESHAD PERRIMAN, UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENT

2019: 36 catches, 634 yards, six touchdowns

As a former first round pick of the
Baltimore Ravens, Perriman currently carries the bust label in spite
of laying down his best season as a pro with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
in 2019. As decent as those stats are, they pretty much all came
after week eight when the team finally began to trust him in their
offense.

It paid off for Perriman and would
have the Bucs, if quarterback Jameis Winston didn’t consistently
throw the ball to the other team. You project those numbers over
eight appearances to 16 games and you’ve got 72 catches, 1,268
yards and 12 touchdowns. The dude makes the Pro Bowl.

Like Anderson, Perriman can keep a
job thanks to his quick feet, laying down a 4.25 40 at his pro day at
UCF. Now that he finally has some NFL production on film, he should
be able to keep a job and maybe land more than a one-year deal.

Where he should end up: Buffalo
Bills

The Bills need help at the wide
receiver spot and can’t be particularly picky about who they bring
in. Cole Beasley is as good a slot receiver as there is in the NFL
and John Brown actually became a weapon for the first time since his
second year in the league in Arizona. But if you’ve noticed a
pattern here, it’s that these aren’t guys the Bills drafted, but
players other teams let go or gave up on. That sounds like Perriman
to me. Hell, Brown even spent a season with the Ravens. Maybe he and
Perriman can compare crab cake recipes.

10. PHILIP DORSETT, UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENT

2019: 29 catches, 397 yards, five touchdowns

Settling in on Dorsett as my No. 10
was surprisingly tough. I liked Laquon Treadwell a lot coming out of
Ole Miss and am baffled at his struggles getting on the field in
Minnesota. While Tavon Austin never contributed a lot at wide
receiver, as a gadget guy and returner, he can be deadly. Tajae
Sharpe, Chris Hogan and Geronimo Allison should all find jobs with
new teams as well, but what put Dorsett in this spot was his
touchdown production and speed.

Like Perriman, Dorsett’s 40 time
(4.33) got him drafted in the first round and, like Perriman, it
wasn’t enough to keep him employed on his original team. He was
dealt to the New England Patriots in the deal that brought Jacoby
Brissett to the Indianapolis Colts. He’s been a contributor and a
puzzle piece, but never the No. 2 consistent deep threat the Colts or
Pats wanted him to be.

But at the right price, and it would
be, he’s a guy that can keep a defense honest and deliver the home
run when the opportunity arises. With the trouble the Patriots had at
wide receiver, Dorsett played more and had the best season of his
career. He’s a young guy and can build on that elsewhere.

Where he should end up: Buffalo
Bills

If you bring in Perriman, there’s no reason not to take a good, long look at Dorsett. The Bills need guys that can run past the defense to capitalize on Josh Allen’s arm and I promise you that no safety or corner wants to see Perriman and Dorsett lined up on the same side of the field running go routes with a QB that can throw it 80 yards.

10 BEST WIDE RECEIVERS HITTING THE MARKET THIS OFFSEASON PART 1
10 BEST WIDE RECEIVERS HITTING THE MARKET THIS OFFSEASON PART 2
10 BEST WIDE RECEIVERS HITTING THE MARKET THIS OFFSEASON PART 3

Get the latest NFL football odds and information–follow BetOnline.ag on Twitter!

BetOnline.ag on Instagram–Follow for the latest odds, stats and information!

BY ADAM GREENE This is it.
