That’s because Bloomberg has been fast-rising in
the polls and now BetOnline has him as a small favorite to beat Trump
in the 2020 election – if they end up going head-to-head.

Will Bloomberg get
the Democratic Party nomination and will he beat Trump in the
election? Let’s take a closer look.

WHO’LL WIN THE 2020 ELECTORAL COLLEGE?

DONALD TRUMP +105
MICHAEL BLOOMBERG -125

The Democratic Party
has seen their field shrink from over 20 candidates down to just
eight. While we’ve already seen two states vote for the candidates,
it’s one of the candidates who is still at zero – and who hasn’t
even been viable in the early states – that is hoping to win the
race. Bloomberg has vowed to spend up to $2 billion if necessary, to
win the Presidency and that’s what is making such a massive impact
in his numbers. He was off the board just months ago but when you
look at the national polls, he’s now the second favorite to win the
Democratic Party nominee, trailing only Bernie Sanders.

Bloomberg has spent
just shy of $200 million in the first two months of his campaign. As
Super Tuesday approaches, candidates like Elizabeth Warren, Amy
Klobuchar and Pete Buttigieg have spent virtually nothing while
Bloomberg is already in the millions in ad-buys.

He’s going to be
on the debate stage next week for the first time, so we’ll see what
he looks and sounds like. To date, he hasn’t been scrutinized for
his thoughts or ideas; he’s run ads that play with no pushback.
We’ll see what happens once the media and other candidates turn up
the heat on him.

PARTY IS TORN ON SANDERS

Vermont Senator
Bernie Sanders is the current frontrunner to win the nominee as
BetOnline has him at +150 (compared to Bloomberg, who is at +225).
The issue is that Sanders already has a head start, having nearly won
Iowa and then winning New Hampshire. The eventual nominee – either
Republican or Democrat – has always finished at least first or
second in New Hampshire, so Sanders appears to be in good shape.
However, the party is split on his platform, which is a concern.

Sanders is a
progressive option, which many view as too far left on the spectrum.
Things like free healthcare and free education, for example, is not
what many moderate democrats are looking for. They want an
alternative to Trump but they don’t necessarily want radical
change.

The issue for Sanders, Bloomberg or anyone else going up against Trump is that the economy is strong with unemployment at lows. Unemployment for African-Americans and Latinos is at all-time lows. A recent Gallup/USA Today poll showed that six in 10 Americans feel they are better off financially today than they were three years ago. As long as the economy is strong, that might be tough for everyone on the Democratic side to overcome.

The political betting season is heating up–to get all of the latest news and odds follow BetOnline.ag on Twitter!

BetOnline.ag on Instagram–Follow for the latest odds, stats and information!

Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has been duking it out with United States President Donald Trump on Twitter…

[2

post-9101","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-sports
["GET
