We\u2019ve already touched on our first two entries in our Tier 2 edge rushers, now it\u2019s time to countdown Nos. 3-4<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. EVERSON GRIFFIN, DE, UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENT<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

2019: 41 tackles, 11 for a loss, eight sacks, two passes defended, one interception<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It wasn\u2019t too long ago that Griffin was considered one of the best outside rushers in the league and for good reason. From 2014-2017, Griffin piled up 43.5 sacks and 49 tackles for a loss. He made three Pro Bowls in that span and he returned to Pro Bowl form last season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The question mark on Griffin comes from his off 2018 season where he missed five games for what turned out to be mental health reasons. He himself called it a \u201crough year\u201d and it was something he had to deal with. It\u2019s good that he did and is in a much healthier mental place now, but realistically it probably will cost him some money in this free agency period. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On top of that he\u2019s 32 and this is likely his final contract.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where he should end up: Las Vegas Raiders<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Raiders will go full mercenary squad this season and Griffin\u2019s age will only be a bonus to them and something they can use to lowball him on a contract. The Minnesota Vikings already have Griffin\u2019s replacement on their roster, Ideadi Odenigbo, who recorded seven sacks as a reserve last season and will make all of $722,000 this year. The Vikes have the second-worst cap space in the league and simply can\u2019t afford to keep Griffin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. VIC BEASLEY, DE, UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENT<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

2019: 42 tackles, eight for a loss, eight sacks, two forced fumbles, two passes defended<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vic Beasley is one of the great mysteries of the recent NFL. In his second year as a pro, he led the league with 15.5 sacks and six forced fumbles, was named an All Pro and made his only Pro Bowl. The very next year he recorded all of five sacks. In fact, this eight sacks form 2019 is the second highest total of his career. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you consider he only totaled four as a rookie, that 15.5 season looks more and more like an aberration and exactly why the Falcons will make no attempt to keep him on the roster when every coach on the staff\u2019s neck is hovering over the chopping block. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where he should end up: Tennessee Titans<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s time for some 3-4 defensive team to toss out a one-year deal and see if they can make sense of what happened to Beasley, a guy with obvious talent and a former first round pick who just found mediocrity when it seemed he was headed to superstar status. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Titans fit the bill as they only have one edge rusher worth anything in Harold Landry and a bunch of guys that Beasley, even if he got no better, would already be a solid improvement over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
