2015 NBA Basketball Betting – Picks For Games On Tuesday, December 15

Posted by Craig Parsons on 12/14/2015 9:07:13 PM

The NBA season heads toward Christmas, and teams are approaching the 30-game mark. The halfway point of the season is not too far away. Will teams make progress on the road to the NBA playoffs?

Cleveland Cavaliers @ Boston Celtics – Tuesday, December 15

Betting against the Boston Celtics is fairly risky right now. The Celtics took the Golden State Warriors into double overtime last Friday and had chances to beat the Warriors at the end of regulation and the end of the first overtime period. The Celtics have greatly exceeded expectations and look like a team which could win at least one playoff series this season if not more. Coach Brad Stevens has the highest level of respect from bettors and basketball analysts. He will make the Celtics very good as long as he is there.

However, Cleveland has Iman Shumpert back in the lineup, and with Shumpert providing his combination of defense and perimeter shooting, everyone else on the Cavs can play and fill a proper role. This team is impressively balanced when Shumpert is on the floor and healthy. Take the Cavs, since they have a very strong lineup here.

Betting Pick: Cleveland -2.5

Milwaukee Bucks @ Los Angeles Lakers – Tuesday, December 15

This is a game the Bucks should win. Milwaukee became the first team in the NBA to beat the Golden State Warriors this season. The Bucks got great performances from several players in that game. They played the way many expected them to play before this season began. When a team gets the victory the Bucks did, everyone on the roster becomes hungry for more success and more accomplishments. The Bucks should be able to carry the momentum from that game and use it in this game against a Laker team which has begun to indicate that it will play its young players, Julius Randle and D’Angelo Russell, a lot more often. That’s a good decision for the Lakers in the long run, but in the short run, it should mean a lot of struggles for the Lakers, which don’t have the depth needed to keep pace with Milwaukee.

Betting Pick: Milwaukee -4

Houston Rockets @ Sacramento Kings – Tuesday, December 15

The Rockets are 7-3 in their last 10 games, so they’re definitely getting better. However, the Rockets have still been up and down. You never really know what to expect with them from one night to the next. James Harden is still not playing the kind of defense, which is one thing this team needs in order to keep getting better in the Western Conference.

Sacramento has begun to create some momentum during a long homestand. The Kings have beaten the New York Knicks and Utah Jazz over the past week. They have settled into a very good rhythm on their home court. This team is steadily getting better, and if it can execute well in its halfcourt offense, Houston doesn’t have a good enough defense to stop Sacramento. Take the Kings.

Betting Pick: Sacramento (Pick ‘em)
