Warriors, Jazz Among The Best Bets For Friday Night’s NBA Action

Posted by on 12/17/2015 12:31:42 AM

The Golden State Warriors had their NBA-record win streak to start the season ended at 24 straight wins when they lost to the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday but nobody expects them to slow down after a torrid start to the year. The Warriors will look to earn a measure of redemption with the Bucks in town on and they should be the closest thing to a lock with 24 teams in action. Here is a look at the best bets on the board for Friday night’s NBA action.

Detroit Pistons @ Chicago Bulls

Friday, 8:00 PM ET

The Bulls have beaten the San Antonio Spurs, Cleveland Cavaliers and Oklahoma City Thunder this season and while they have been pretty inconsistent on the road they own a 10-3 record at home. Chicago will look to stay hot at home when they host the Pistons, which have been better of late but have struggled on the road this year. The Bulls might very well be the biggest threat to Cleveland in the Eastern Conference but they could certainly use home court advantage for a potential playoff matchup against them and that means winning games now in order to challenge them for the top seed.

Pick: Chicago

Sacramento Kings @ Minnesota Timberwolves

Friday, 8:00 PM ET

Sacramento has some talented pieces and has played better of late but they need to be a lot better on the road than they have been to this point if they are going to have any shot at contending for a playoff spot in the loaded Western Conference. The Kings are just 2-8 on the road so far this year but they have a favorable matchup against a Minnesota side that has really struggled in front of their home fans and need to take advantage of the young Timberwolves as they look to continue to close the gap between themselves and the eighth seed.

Pick: Sacramento

New Orleans Pelicans @ Phoenix Suns

Friday, 10:30 PM ET

The Pelicans have been one of the most disappointing teams in the NBA so far this season as a combination of injuries and inconsistent play have really taken a toll on them. New Orleans has not travelled well by any means but they will face a Phoenix side that hasn’t played very well of late so the opportunity is there for them to get a big win against a team they are chasing in the standings. The Pelicans are certainly talented enough to compete for a playoff spot when they are healthy but they need to find a way to start winning games soon.

Pick: New Orleans

Milwaukee Bucks @ Golden State Warriors

Friday, 10:30 PM ET

For as impressive as the Warriors have been this season their weaknesses were exposed by the Bucks and now they have an opportunity to fix them while maximizing their already impressive potential. Golden State is easily the most complete team in the NBA right now and they are still undefeated at home so look for that run to continue as they earn some revenge against Milwaukee on Friday night.

Pick: Golden State
