College Football Betting: Week 11: NCAA Rundown

Posted by The Wiesguy on 11/9/2015 8:19:50 PM

By now I am sure we have all read about how the Big 12 backloaded it’s schedule to create a round robin that will reveal their champion. This week we get big bad Oklahoma venturing to Baylor to take on the undefeated Bears. The Bears can win but the line is not showing a ton of respect. In other action top ranked Clemson is in a perfect “Clemsoning” spot - now they just have avoid being their own worst enemy so to speak. That may not have made any sense but this should, Oregon vs Stanford, fast vs physical, enjoy.

Saturday November 14

#3 Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Illinois Fighting Illini

12:00PM

Ohio State -16.5

Part of me is remembering the days of Juice Williams, who led the Illini to a surprising upset of the Buckeyes about ten years ago or something. This year’s Ohio State squad definitely looks primed for a fall but the gap still seems too big between them and this year’s surprisingly decent Illini team. Now that the rankings are out there the Buckeyes need a performance that reminds us all just how good they can be. This will be it. Take the Buckeyes as chalk on the road.

#1 Clemson Tigers vs. Syracuse Orange

3:30PM
Clemson -27.5

The Tigers looked strong last week dispatching the Seminoles to take control in the ACC. Now all they have to do is battle their own demons as they close out the regular season. They could be facing an intriguing UNC team in the ACC title game but a loss in this week or any other would fall into the shock category. Clemson should win easily on the road but I will take the points with Syracuse. They will only win by 21.

Oregon Ducks vs. #11 Stanford Cardinal

7:30PM

Stanford -9

It is still a little hard to believe that only one of these teams is ranked in this matchup this year. Stanford hasn’t lost since week one and seems to be getting stronger each week. Oregon still has the talent to compete but this is one conference matchup where they have not dominated. The Cardinal have held their own in the series splitting the last six games. I would prefer this number to get under seven points though. Oregon is capable of blitzing opponents still. Take the Ducks plus the points.

#15 Oklahoma Sooners vs. #6 Baylor Bears

8:00PM

Baylor -3

Oklahoma State’s win over TCU doesn’t change all that much. One of those teams was going to have a loss no matter what. This game is bigger as Baylor wants to remain unbeaten. Oklahoma has been playing very well and is capable of coming into Baylor’s house and beating them, especially with Baylor still trying to get their QB comfortable. This one should be a back and forth affair. The question is whether you trust Big Game Bob (Stoops) in this spot. I will take the Sooners with the points in a game that could go either way.
