NFL Football Betting: Cincinnati Bengals vs. Arizona Cardinals Preview

Posted by The Wiesguy on 11/18/2015 7:39:39 PM

This is a great matchup for Sunday Night Football...it’s just too bad the Bengals had to go and ruin it by losing last Monday. As a result these teams enter with vastly different momentums. The Bengals are undoubtedly down and on the road to boot while the Cardinals should be flying high after their huge win on the road in Seattle. These are two playoff ready teams looking to show they are ready for the next level.

Cincinnati Bengals (8-1) vs. Arizona Cardinals (7-2)

Sunday November 22

University of Phoenix Stadium - Glendale, Arizona

Cardinals -4, 48

Last week’s performance by Cincinnati was very “Bungles”. It just didn’t make any sense. It is one thing to lose a game, even at home, but I don’t know what they were doing or thinking . They threw the ball way too much, even though they didn’t have to, getting away from the balance that had served them so well to this point. The defense was solid though and they might need that group to step it up this week as they take on a more explosive than you think Arizona squad that just torched the Seahawks.

The Cardinals won a thrilling game up in Seattle last week. It was a huge victory in every way imaginable as it gave them a huge edge in the NFC West standings plus an emotional edge over the Seahawks, though they might not need it. It was a little disappointing to see their defense give up 32 points but this season that is something they can and did overcome. Once again QB Carson Palmer was brilliant, hooking up with WRs Larry Fitzgerald and Michael Floyd often. RB Chris Johnson did not get a lot of yards but they still ran him anyway, which is something they will likely have to do again this week.

Prediction: The Bengals should be getting back to basics while the Cards are primed for a letdown in this one. At the current number I think the Bengals are the way to go. That +4 is inviting for a game that will probably go down to the final possession. Look for Cincy to run the ball and slow the pace of the game a little. Neither team will dominate the others so this one should be close throughout.

Pick: Cincinnati Bengals +4
