Ronda Rousey retouch

Ronda Rousey, once the most feared female UFC fighter, is now the most jeered.

Moments after a 48 second knock out loss to Brazilian Amanda Nunes the haters took to social media to take more jabs at the woman that brought women’s UFC into the spotlight. It was her second straight defeat and came 13 months after a stunning loss to Holly Holmes. Now Rousey might be better suited for the movies and promotional tours than the octagon where she appeared lost and slow.

“This is my moment,” Nunes said after the fight. “Right now, I’m the champion.”

There is no disputing that.

“I know (fans) love Ronda Rousey, but I was ready for this fight,” Nunes said. “I knew this was going to happen. I’m the best on the planet.”

Nunes was ready from the beginning. She connected with a left hand to the face to begin the bout and chased Rousey across the octagon looking to finish her off. After Rousey appeared defenseless, the referee stepped in to stop the bout to prevent further damage.

Nunes wasn’t finished rocking Rousey after the bout. She taunted her more on social media afterwards, posting a picture of herself carrying the championship belt and pushing Rousey in a baby stroller. Singer Justin Bieber also taunted Rousey on twitter.

Rousey has yet to respond but there is speculation she will retire.

“I believe she’s unhappy and upset like anyone can be under the circumstances,” her mother AnnMaria Mars told TMZ Sports. “I want to see here retire. I want to have seen her retire a very long time ago. Who needs to see their child get hit?”
