BY ADAM GREENE
We had one good game scheduled out of three for Thanksgiving, but thanks to a Baltimore Ravens staffer licking every handrail in Maryland, that game against the undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers was pushed to Sunday and now maybe even further than that.
The games we did get were as awful as advertised, with the Houston Texans knocking off the Detroit Lions 41-25 and the Washington Football Team taking over first place in the NFC East with an embarrassing 41-16 win over the Dallas Cowboys.
I went 1-1 on the day, but I was once again soundly defeated by the Thanksgiving food festivities that had me reaching for the omeprazole before the second game even kicked off.
LAS VEGAS RAIDERS AT ATLANTA FALCONS (+3, O/U: 54)
We’re hitting the final six games of the regular season and there’s no room for error. And errors are all Atlanta is good for. Raiders 27, Falcons 16
LOS ANGELES CHARGERS AT BUFFALO BILLS (-5.5, O/U: 53)
The Chargers are traveling across the country with a rookie QB (he’s good) and a bad head coach (he’s horrible) to face one of the three best teams in the AFC. I’m not feeling confident. Bills 38, Chargers 20
NEW YORK GIANTS AT CINCINNATI BENGALS (+6, O/U: 44)
Cincinnati is going with Brandon Allen as their starter this week so someone else will have to pick up his shift at GameStop. Yeah, on Black Friday weekend. You said you wanted the hours, Kyle! Giants 31, Bengals 6
TENNESSEE TITANS AT INDIANAPOLIS COLTS (-3, O/U: 51)
The Colts have won their last two straight, one of those victories being over this same Titans team. That also means it’s been three weeks since Indy’s soiled the bedsheets and those Egyptian cotton Brooklinen Luxe Core Sateens are due for a muddying. Titans 26, Colts 23
CAROLINA PANTHERS AT MINNESOTA VIKINGS (-3.5, O/U: 51)
The good news for the Panthers is regular starting quarterback Teddy Bridgewater has been cleared to play. The bad news for the Vikings is that regular starting quarterback Kirk Cousins has been cleared to play. Panthers 27, Vikings 24
ARIZONA CARDINALS AT NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (+2, O/U: 49.5)
All the Patriots can realistically do is start screwing up other team’s seasons. I say they start Sunday with Arizona. Patriots 23, Cardinals 20
MIAMI DOLPHINS AT NEW YORK JETS (+7, O/U: 44.5)
Any thought that New York might be able to steal one against Miami went out the window when it was announced that Sam Darnold was healthy enough to play. Dolphins 23, Jets 13
CLEVELAND BROWNS AT JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS (+7, O/U: 49.5)
Do we believe in the Browns now? It’s feeling like we believe in the Browns now. Browns 33, Jaguars 17
NEW ORLEANS SAINTS AT DENVER BRONCOS (+6, O/U: 43.5)
Taysom Hill gets his second start for New Orleans in a place notoriously difficult to play. Denver picked up a surprising win over the Dolphins last week, but asking that kind of performance two weeks in a row is a little much. Saints 23, Broncos 20
SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS AT LOS ANGELES RAMS (-6.5, O/U: 45.5)
The last time the Rams and 49ers squared off, San Francisco dominated most of the game with a stingy defense, power running and a play action attack. All the SF players involved in that are currently on injured reserve. Rams 33, 49ers 13
KANSAS CITY CHIEFS AT TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS (+3.5, O/U: 55.5)
One thing you can all but count on with this game; plenty of deep passes will go right into the hands of Kansas City Chiefs players, regardless of whether it’s Patrick Mahomes or Tom Brady throwing them. Chiefs 38, Bucs 23
