2021 LEC Spring Split Week 3 Betting Preview

The two best teams in Europe are G2 Esports and Rogue. G2 have been the overwhelming favorites in the LEC for the last few years, while Rogue continue to develop into a top team. Currently, Rogue are unbeaten through the first two weeks of the 2021 LEC Spring Split, while G2 Esports are 4-1 after their upset loss at the hands of FC Schalke 04 last Saturday. Both teams are sizable favorites in both of their games this week.

2021 LEC Spring Split Week 3 Betting Odds

Rogue -238
FC Schalke 04 +172

Larssen has been fantastic through the first five games of the split. Rogue’s star mid laner has a 17.7 KDA and leads his team with 29.9 percent of the damage per Games of Legends. He has yet to have a bad game, and he should have a sizable edge over Abbedagge.

Rogue’s other advantages are somewhat muted by Schalke though. Gilius isn’t as talented as Inspired, but he won’t be run off the map, and Brokenblade is a coin flip top laner. Schalke have been doing a better job of drafting than Rogue, so they have a good chance to pull off the upset considering Rogue is largely just gapping their opponents.

Misfits Gaming -139
Excel Esports +108

After going 2-1 in Week 1, Misfits lost both their games in Week 2. A loss to Rogue was expected, but a second defeat at the hands of SK Gaming stung. This bottom lane has some real talent with Kobbe and Vander together, but we have seen some head-scratching plays out of mid laner Vetheo.

Excel have a talented top laner in Kryze that can play almost anything. He has a 5.6 KDA, and that’s nearly twice as high as anyone else on the roster. Czekolad has shown some real potential in the mid lane, so Excel are the play as an underdog considering their three losses were to G2, Rogue, and MAD Lions.

G2 Esports -625
Team Vitality +374

Which G2 will we see this week? The Kings of Europe have a reputation for looking disjointed early in the split. They are much more talented than any other team in the region, but their play has been somewhat sloppy through two weeks. Rekkles is the only member that has been consistent throughout the first five games with a 15.4 KDA.

Vitality don’t have a bottom lane that can hang with G2. Comp and Labrov aren’t the worst bottom lane duo in the league, but they are in the bottom three. Milica can avoid losing his lane hard, but the rest of this team is going to have a tough team against G2 and should lose unless the champions decide to go off the reservation in draft.

MAD Lions -222
SK Gaming +163

The Lions went 2-1 last week, beating Excel and Fnatic to look like the third-best team in the LEC. Humanoid has looked sharp on assassin champions in the mid lane once again, and the bottom lane of Carzzy and Kaiser has performed well. Jungler Elyoya has had some nice moments too.

SK Gaming are 2-3, but they have a -101 gold differential per minute. That’s the third-worst total in the league behind Excel and Astralis. This is a team that can rise up and knock off other contenders, but MAD Lions are currently in another class.

Astralis +303
Fnatic -455

It’s become obvious that the naysayers were right about Astralis. This is the worst team in the LEC. They are 1-4 with a -263 GDM, easily the worst total in the region. No player on this team has better than a 2.0 KDA, so don’t be surprised if they go off-meta with a different look against Fnatic. We might even see Nukeduck play Zed.

This is a must-win game for Fnatic. They have not looked strong through the first two weeks with a 2-3 record. Fnatic must play G2 on Saturday, so a loss here would likely mean an 0-2 week.
