Next week is one of the most action-packed UFC cards ever with three titles up for grabs, and UFC Fight Night: Rozenstruik vs. Gane will be a worthy setup this Saturday. Jairzinho Rozenstruik and Ciryl Gane will meet in the main event, but we will see other top fighers like Nikita Krylov, Angela Hill, and Montana De La Rosa on the main card too.
UFC Fight Night: Rozenstruik vs. Gane will take place on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. This promotion will be available on ESPN Plus with the main card getting underway at 8 p.m. ET.
UFC Fight Night: Rozenstruik vs. Gane Betting Odds
Jairzinho Rozenstruik +210
Ciryl Gane -250
Rozenstruik is looking to climb the heavyweight ladder once again. He was considered a title contender prior to his quick loss to Francis Ngannou last May, and that was the only loss of his UFC career. The Surinamese heavyweight is known for his tremendous power, and only one of his fights has gone the distance. Seven of Rozenstruik’s 10 KO wins came in the first round, so it’s unlikely that this one lasts too long.
Gane is a rather sizable favorite considering he is 30 years old, and this is just his seventh fight. He has yet to lose in his professional career, but he has proven to have a lot of gas in his tank considering his size. Most of his wins have come outside the first round, and three of his victories have come by submission with another three coming by knockout.
Both fighters’ most recent bout was against Junior dos Santos. Rozenstruik secured a second-round TKO of him at UFC 252 last August, while Gane picked up a second-round TKO against him in December. There is a lot of buzz surrounding Gane, but Rozenstruik is worth a shot at this price.
Magomed Ankalaev -344
Nikita Krylov +284
It will be nice for Magomed Ankalaev to fight somebody not named Ion Cutelaba. Both of Ankalaev’s fights in 2020 were against Cutelaba, as his first victory led to a rematch after referee Kevin MacDonald abruptly stopped the initial fight way too early. Ankalaev is 14-1 in his MMA career with nine knockouts to his credit, and he has recorded three straight KOs ahead of this bout.
Krylov has alternated wins and losses since returning to the UFC. He lost to Jan Blachowicz and Glover Teixeira, but he submitted Ovince Saint Preux and secured a unanimous decision against Johnny Walker in the UFC’s last live event in front of a packed house. Krylov is far more seasoned fighter, and he is also worth a flier at these odds.
Montana De La Rosa +110
Mayra Bueno Silva -130
Both Silva and De La Rosa’s last victory came against Mara Romero Borella. Silva submitted her by armbar in the first round this past September, while De La Rosa won a unanimous decision off Borella in February.
Who you like in this fight depends on whether you want experience or potential? De La Rosa has the former, while Silva has the latter.
