2021 League of Legends Summer EU Masters Finals Betting Preview

Karmine Corp will look to make history this weekend. No team has ever won the EU Masters twice, much less win it in back-to-back seasons, but they can be the first to accomplish the feat if they knock off Fnatic Rising. Karmine Corp is a sizable favorite and will have the French League of Legends community behind them.
2021 League of Legends Summer EU Masters Finals Betting Odds
Karmine Corp -370
Fnatic Rising +250
It’s been an incredible ride for Fnatic Rising to get to this point. They finished in second place in their Play-In Group and needed to upset White Dragons to make the Group Stage. They finished behind BIG in Group C of the Group Stage, making them underdogs against Movistar Riders and Misfits Premier in the knockout rounds, but Fnatic Rising knocked off both favorites to make the EU Masters Finals.
Karmine Corp was the favorite in Spring and cashed in at that time, and they are looking to do the same thing in the Summer. This team has continued to look strong, but they haven’t been infallible. After winning Group D with a 5-1 record, they swept UCAM Esports Club before needing all five games to beat BIG in the semifinals.
Analysis
The loss of Adam and the addition of Cabochard in the top lane is a downgrade but not much of one for Karmine Corp. Cabochard silenced some of the doubters (including yours truly) with his performance in the quarterfinals and semifinals, and he now has a 4.8 KDA while dealing 25.2% of his team’s damage per Games of Legends.
Both Cabochard and mid laner Saken were formerly part of Team Vitality, so they have some synergy in team fights. Saken was the team’s MVP in the French domestic league during the regular season, and he leads KC with a 6.2 KDA. He was previously known for his play on assassins, but he has shown he can play control mages.
The legacy of Polish junglers is a long one in Europe, and Cinkrof is the newest prodigy from Poland at this position. He has a 4.9 KDA and has played very well on Viego, Lee Sin, and Jarvan.
Karmine Corp’s bottom lane is a cut below the rest of the positions, but it’s still pretty good. XMatty leads the team in damage, and Targamas might have the deepest champion pool on the team, giving this side options in pick and ban.
Fnatic Rising will need to win through the bottom lane if they are going to pull off the upset. Bean leads the team with a 6.6 KDA, but his performances have been inconsistent. That means they need Maxi to really come through and outplay Cinkrof in the jungle.
Laners Pride and Dajor are going to have their hands full with Cabochard and Saken. It’s going to be hard to rely on them unless they show us something new or unexpected in draft.
The early action has pushed the line more in favor of Karmine Corp, and that is the right side. The -370 moneyline might be a bit much to swallow, but you can also bet Karmine Corp -1.5 at much lower odds.
