NBA Power Rankings Update – November 30

The Brooklyn Nets continue to lead the pack when it comes to NBA futures betting odds. Brooklyn is in first place in the Eastern Conference despite the absence of Kyrie Irving, and the Nets have been superb on the road. However, the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks finally seem to be getting it together and the Golden State Warriors are still going strong after the first quarter of the 2021-22 season.

1. Brooklyn Nets

This Week’s Odds: +275 (No Change)

Brooklyn will be without Joe Harris for at least the next month. Harris underwent surgery on his ankle, and that’s a significant blow to the Nets. Harris is the fifth leading scorer on the team, averaging 11.3 PPG, and he is knocking down 46.6% of his threes. Fortunately, Patty Mills and LaMarcus Aldridge have been great in their roles alongside Kevin Durant and James Harden for the title favorites.

2. Golden State Warriors

This Week’s Odds: +425

Last Week’s Odds: +475

Steph Curry remains the favorite to be named NBA MVP this season. Curry is averaging 28.6 PPG, 5.8 RPG, and 6.8 APG, and Golden State is 18-2. Draymond Green is back to being a contributor, and the team is eagerly awaiting the return of Klay Thompson. The other member of the Splash Brothers is expected to play in the G League for Golden State’s affiliate in the next few weeks.

3. Milwaukee Bucks

This Week’s Odds: +750

Last Week’s Odds: +900

Milwaukee is back. The Bucks have won seven straight games after a rough start to the season, and they are currently in a three-way tie for third place in the East. They have added veteran big man DeMarcus Cousins to give the team some size, and he is expected to make his debut on Wednesday against the Charlotte Hornets.

4. Phoenix Suns

This Week’s Odds: +950

Last Week’s Odds: +1400

The oddsmakers have finally started to turn the corner on the Phoenix Suns. They have won 16 straight games and knocked off the Nets in Brooklyn on Saturday. Phoenix is one game away from tying a franchise record winning streak, but the Suns will have a hard time knocking off the Golden State Warriors in the desert on Tuesday night.

5. Utah Jazz

This Week’s Odds: +950

Last Week’s Odds: +800

What matter can you say about Utah other than to prove it in the playoffs? The Jazz are going to be one of the top regular season teams once again, but this team’s style has failed to deliver results in the postseason.

6. Los Angeles Lakers

This Week’s Odds: +1000

Last Week’s Odds: +950

LeBron James was entered into the COVID protocol on Tuesday. He is expected to miss at least a week of action with the virus, further hurting the Los Angeles Lakers’ chances of winning the NBA titles. The one-time Western Conference favorites are seeing their fortunes rapidly fade.

7. Miami Heat

This Week’s Odds: +1200 (No Change)

Miami leads the Eastern Conference in point differential. Jimmy Butler, Tyler Herro, and Bam Adebayo have been a formidable trio, making the Heat a legitimate contender to make the NBA Finals.
