2022 League of Legends LCS Lock In Semifinals Betting Preview

There was one massive upset in the LCS Lock In Quarterfinals last weekend. 100 Thieves were an overwhelming favorite over Team Dignitas after winning their group, but they lost 2-0 to Dignitas on Saturday. It’s a very disappointing performance from the reigning LCS champions, yet that opens the door for the other teams that looked solid over the last two weeks. Team Liquid essentially have a cakewalk to the finals as they shouldn’t struggle with Dignitas, while Evil Geniuses have looked dominant and are currently 6-0.
2022 League of Legends LCS Lock In Semifinals Betting Odds
Team Liquid -2000
Dignitas +758
It was wild to see Dignitas upset 100 Thieves last week. 100 Thieves were the favorites to win the LCS Lock In Tournament as the reigning league champions with the same roster from last season. However, Dignitas overcame a 3500 gold deficit in the first game to come back and win and then smashed 100T in the second game with great performances from Blue and Neo.
That bodes well for Dignitas during the LCS Spring Split, but this isn’t a great roster. The bottom lane of Neo and Biofrost is the strength of the team, yet they will have to go against either a veteran bottom laner in Hans Sama or one of the best supports in the world in CoreJJ.
Additionally, Bjergsen clearly hasn’t missed a beat. The former face of Team SoloMid was dominant in the mid lane over the last two weeks, posting a 19.7 KDA and didn’t die on Corki, Orianna, or his patented Zilean.
Santorin has been a difference maker in the jungle, and he should be able to routinely get an edge over River. Four members of Team Liquid have a KDA over 20, and the only starter that doesn’t is top laner Bwipo who leads the team in damage while playing weakside tanks. It’s going to be hard for Dignitas to even win a game in this series.
Evil Geniuses -263
Cloud9 +188
Anyone who expected the LS experiment to blow up in Cloud9’s face is still waiting for that to happen. Cloud9 haven’t been dominant, but they did make it to the semifinals with their win over Counter Logic Gaming last week. There is a reason they are underdogs against Evil Geniuses on Saturday though as they have yet to beat one of the top teams in the LCS.
Blaber continues to be great in the jungle, and Fudge has been superb in his transition to mid lane. However, top laner Darshan has had his problems, and this bottom lane is not nearly as talented as the one that Evil Geniuses is fielding in the semifinals.
The overall favorites to win the Lock In Tournament might just be Evil Geniuses at this point. They have come together very quickly, and this is the best bottom lane in the league until Team Liquid figures out its visa situation for CoreJJ. Danny has the potential to be the best bottom laner that North America has produced since Doublelift, and Vulcan is a perfect complement for him. Inspired has played great in the jungle too with a 12.3 KDA.
