Picking division winners is something all NFL fans and bettors like to do before the start of the
season. While there are some divisions that are considered toss ups, we’re going to find a few
value plays including a couple of division parlays as well.
Chiefs, 49ers to Win Division Parlay: +105
It’s the most obvious, and easiest but this parlay may be the smartest bet of the season. They
met in the Super Bowl and are destined to possibly meet again. Both teams are by far the best
squad in their respective divisions and even if they aren’t as dominant, San Francisco and
Kansas City should cake walk through the season and take the division crown again. The
Chiefs will win their ninth straight while the 49ers will be crowned NFC West champs for a third
consecutive season, and fourth in the last six years. By Week 2 or 3, the odds will be below
even money so jump on this now before the lines change.
Lions, Texans Win Division Parlay: +330
There is a lot of hype on the Lions again after almost reaching the Super Bowl last year. That
hunger of returning to the Super Bowl should light a fire under this team and coach Dan
Campbell will have his team ready. The Packers will be tough and the Bears have made strides
but Detroit should have their talent rise to the top again. The top guys have been paid, they
added pieces to the secondary through free agency and the draft and seem primed for a deep
run. Another surprise team from a year ago was the Texans and they have gone all in to win
now. C.J. Stroud has more weapons including Stef Diggs who comes over from Buffalo. The
AFC South is still one of the weaker divisions in football and Houston should be able to win this
division with ease.
Longshot Parlay
Steelers, Cowboys Win Division Parlay: +1825
The AFC North is the toughest division in the NFL with the Ravens and Bengals considered
Super Bowl contenders. But we’re going to pitch the idea of the Steelers winning the division
with one of the best defensive units, and a solid running game. The big question mark will be at
quarterback but if Russell Wilson can return to his Seahawks form, Pittsburgh could shock a lot
of people and find a way to win the North. No team has repeated as division champs in the
NFC East in 20 years but that streak will end this year as the Cowboys should take it again.
Dak Prescott is playing for a contract, CeeDee Lamb got paid and Mike McCarthy on the hot
seat. Dallas will put it together to take the East once again. The playoffs, well, that’s a
completely different story. Let’s just stick with winning the division for now.
