2021 League of Legends LCS Championship Winners’ Bracket Finals Betting Preview

Both Team Liquid and 100 Thieves qualified for the League of Legends World Championship in China with their victories last week. 100 Thieves outlasted Evil Geniuses in a wild five-game series, while Team Liquid roundly crushed Team SoloMid in a four-game series. Now, those two teams will face off on Saturday for a spot in the LCS Championship Finals. The loser will still have a chance to be in the finals, where they will face one of the teams that has already lost in the Losers’ Bracket Finals.
2021 League of Legends LCS Championship Winners’ Bracket Finals Betting Odds
Team Liquid -143
100 Thieves +120
The favorite to advance to next week’s LCS Championship is Team Liquid. Liquid was extremely impressive against TSM last week, and this team looks like it has turned a corner since Jatt resigned and Alphari and Santorin became mainstays in the starting lineup.
Santorin has thrived in the jungle this postseason. He leads TL with a 7.5 KDA through two series, and he was instrumental in the wins over Cloud9 and TSM. His play on Xin Zhao has been particularly spectacular, and that’s important given the champion’s priority in this meta.
Offseason acquisition Alphari is playing solid in the top lane. Alphari is dealing out almost a quarter of his team’s damage per Games of Legends, and his ability to play off-tank roles has been key to this team’s success.
Tactical has stepped up his play alongside CoreJJ in the bottom lane, and CoreJJ remains one of the top supports in the West. Mid laner Jensen has been consistent over the last several weeks too, establishing Liquid as the team to beat in the LCS.
The key for 100 Thieves is jungler Closer. Closer has been arguably the best jungler in the league this year, and he posted a 5.9 KDA in last week’s series against Evil Geniuses. We saw him play four games of Viego in that series, so Liquid will certainly gameplan for him using the champion this weekend.
Mid laner Abbedagge has shined too, providing a plurality of his team’s damage this postseason. He was superb on LeBlanc against EG, and that helped 100 Thieves return to Worlds. The organization acquired him after it was clear mid laner was their biggest issue after the Spring Split, and that has paid off in spades.
Now, the issue for 100 Thieves has been the play in the top lane and the bottom lane. Ssumday was the anchor of this team for years in the top lane, but he is no longer the gamechanger he was a few years ago. He can be picked off and camped repeatedly, and that is a path to victory for Liquid.
The 100T bottom lane of FBI and Huhi isn’t that great. While this duo is decent and has outperformed expectations, they still have a way to go to play with the best units in the region. We saw Evil Geniuses exploit them last week, and that could happen again on Saturday. That makes TL the better bet at this price.
