3:41 PM PACIFIC: JAZZ LOSE INGLES FOR REST OF THE SEASON
The Utah Jazz have been beset by injuries over the last few weeks and now they’re going to be without one more key cog for the rest of the season. Three-point ace Joe Ingles suffered a torn ACL and will now be out for the rest of the year.
The Jazz have lost four in a row and nine of 11 as they’ve been playing without stars Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert. They’ve fallen to fourth place in the Western Conference and are now 30-21 on the season. We’ll see if they can still contend without Ingles.

One of the biggest questions that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have to think about going into the offseason is whether or not they’ll have quarterback Tom Brady and tight end Rob Gronkowski back with them in the upcoming season.
We now know that Brady is not returning, so the Bucs are left to wonder if Gronk is coming back. The Cincinnati Bengals have been one of the biggest surprises this football season. When the Super Bowl odds first opened up, #WhoDey was on the board at 66/1. However, after beating the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, they’ve now qualified for the Super Bowl.

There was huge NFL news on what is normally an otherwise quiet Saturday when it was reported that Tom Brady planned to retire. ESPN made the report the Brady was planning to call it quits and while the news spread like fire, it was quickly rebutted.
Tom Brady Sr. spoke to Sports Illustrated and said that the report is untrue and that Brady has yet to make a decision. For now, ESPN is standing by their report while multiple other media outlets have changed their report to reflect that it’s still unclear. Stay tuned.

The Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers both managed to survive the divisional round and are now the last two teams left standing in the NFC. That means they’ll be facing off for a third time this season when they square off in the NFC Championship Game.
The Rams are on the board as a four-point favorite and will be looking for their first win over the 49ers this year. They were blown out 31-10 in Week 10 and then lost 27-24 in the final week of the regular season. We’ll see if they can finally break through.

It’s been an illustrious career for Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger but he’s now decided to retire. He made the announcement via a Twitter video post. Although he wasn’t getting great help from the offensive line over the last couple of seasons, it did feel like he was holding the unit back a little bit.
Roethlisberger finished his 18-year career playing it entirely in Pittsburgh. It’s rare to stick with a team these days. He ended up with the fifth-most passing yards in NFL history along with a pair of Super Bowl wins. He’s likely headed to the Hall of Fame.

The Chicago Bears are looking to turn the page after a rough ending to the Matt Nagy-Ryan Pace era. The first step in that process is the hiring of a new General Manager, which they did today when they hired Ryan Poles away from the Kansas City Chiefs.
Poles was the executive director of player personnel for the Chiefs, so he has some good pedigree. Obviously, the Chiefs have done well finding talent. Now this opens the door for the Bears to possibly bring Eric Bienemy onboard – if that’s the direction they want to go at head coach.

Mayfield has been playing through the 2021 season with all sorts of injuries, including a bad non-throwing shoulder. He really toughed it out but now that the team can’t make the playoffs, it makes sense to rest him. The Browns visit the Bengals in Week 18.

The LSU Tigers decided to part ways with head coach Ed Orgeron and hired away Brian Kelley from the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. On Tuesday, the school plays in its first game – a bowl game – without Orgeron as their head coach. It’s a new page.
The Tigers are an underdog against the Kansas State Wildcats. Kansas State has been favored seven times this season and has fared well in that role. They are 6-1 against the spread in those contests, so they might be a good investment if you’re laying points.

The Oklahoma Sooners are fresh off a big win in the Orange Bowl but now they have a situation at the quarterback position. After watching Spencer Rattler decide to leave after he was benched, they’ve now seen Caleb Williams enter the transfer portal.
With Rattler, he was benched midseason when Williams took over, so it’s understandable that he decided to walk. However, Williams was expected to be the team’s starting quarterback next season, so seeing him enter the portal is a surprise. The door is not closed on his return, though.
