Wednesday

• Boca Raton Bowl: James Madison (-6.5, O/U 52) at Western Kentucky
  James Madison has never won a bowl game, losing their last two appearances. Western Kentucky is coming off a 40-point loss to Jacksonville State in the Conference-USA championship game. WKU is 4-1 in their last five bowl games, so despite being a touchdown underdog, they should keep it close.

• LA Bowl: California (-2.5, O/U 48) vs. No. 24 UNLV
  In its last four games, Cal has allowed an average of 32 points per game while going 2-2 in that stretch. UNLV’s head coach, Barry Odom, left to take the Purdue head coaching job, leaving Del Alexander as the interim. After winning four straight to close out the regular season, UNLV lost to Boise State in the Mountain West Conference championship game. We should see plenty of points in this one.

  Sam Houston is making its bowl debut, the first-ever bowl game in school history. Georgia Southern hasn’t won in its last three bowl appearances. The Bearkats were 3-1 ATS as underdogs and won three games outright. If the defense can step up, Sam Houston should stick around in this game.

• StaffDNA Cure Bowl: Ohio (-2.5, O/U 54.5) vs. Jacksonville State
  Ohio won its first MAC championship since 1968, but then the head coach left for a new job at Charlotte. Jacksonville State won the Conference-USA championship, but coach Rich Rodriguez is rumored to be a candidate for the West Virginia job. The Bobcats covered in each of their last six games.

• Union Home Mortgage Gasparilla Bowl: Florida (-14, O/U 49.5) vs. Tulane
  This line opened at 12 and has risen to two touchdowns in recent days. Tulane lost its quarterback, as Darian Mensah is headed to Duke. That’s not ideal when facing the Gators. Florida should roll against a team missing its offensive star.
