It’s a game that could go a long way in determining who wins the NFC East. Both the Commanders and Eagles have 7 wins, but Washington has played one more game and has three losses. They meet again in Week 16, but whoever wins Thursday will have the upper hand the rest of the way. Click here to check out the betting lines.
Washington Commanders
It was a game that got away from the Commanders at home against the Steelers. Too many mistakes and an ill-timed offside call led to their first home loss. Rookie Jayden Daniels struggled against an elite defense, throwing for just 202 yards and getting sacked 3 times. Washington is hoping to have Brian Robinson back, as he’s missed the last two games, but Austin Ekeler filled in well, scoring twice against the Steelers. Pro Bowl cornerback Marshon Lattimore could be ready to go after being acquired in a trade. Offensively, Washington should get back on track, but defensively, they’ll have to stop the second-best run team in the NFL, as the Eagles average 176 yards on the ground.
Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles have won five straight since their bye week and torched the Cowboys 34-6 at AT&T Stadium. Jalen Hurts has been exceptional, throwing 8 touchdowns and running for 8 scores during this stretch. He’s looked like the Hurts of old, rushing for 67 and 56 yards in the last two games. Saquon Barkley, who is number two in the NFL with 991 rushing yards, had just 66 yards against the Cowboys but has five 100-yard games and is in a prime spot to make it six against the fifth-worst run defense in the NFL.
Player Prop Best Bets
- Saquon Barkley: OVER 93.5 Rushing Yards (-115)
As mentioned, Barkley has been on a tear in the last five weeks and should have plenty of carries. He had 14 last week for 66 yards but was rested as the game was well in hand. In his last four games against Washington, Barkley averaged 77 yards, and that was with a poor Giants offensive line. - Jayden Daniels: OVER 36.5 Longest Completion (-115)
Jayden Daniels has the receivers to make a big completion. He’s thrown a reception over this number five times this season, and in each of his last three games (61, 42, 54 yards). In a game that should see lots of points, expect a couple of shots to Terry McLaurin on Thursday.
