They are two of the best players over the last few years and both seem destined for the Hall of
Fame one day down the road. But for now, they are also two of the best prop bets for the
season opener on Thursday Night Football. Patrick Mahomes and Derrick Henry are expected
to be big producers and we’re going to put together a couple of parlay plays.
Mahomes Passing Yards: Over 263.5 (-113)
Last season, Patrick Mahomes threw for 4,183 yards, sixth most in the NFL. The season
before, Mahomes was tops in the league with 5,250 yards. No question he loves to throw the
ball. So let’s look into his production against the Ravens. In four regular season games,
Mahomes has torched the Baltimore defense by averaging 370 yards while completing almost
72% of his passes. But when the teams met in last January’s AFC Championship Game,
Mahomes was just average throwing for 241 yards and one touchdown. And that’s because the
defense did its job forcing three turnovers. Plus, Mahomes didn’t have the most reliable
receivers, who had a case of the drops. Now the Chiefs have upgraded their pass catchers
and with a new look Ravens secondary, Mahomes should find opportunities for big plays and
the MVP favorite could come out guns blazing on opening night.
Mahomes Touchdown Passes Over 2.5 (+147)
In that AFC title game, Mahomes had just one touchdown pass but he’s had massive success
against the Ravens defense over his career. He’s thrown for 12 touchdowns and just 2
interceptions in four regular season games. Since this is the season opener with all eyes on
Kansas City, a rebuilt receiving core, Mahomes will find the end zone on multiple occasions.

Mahomes Over 263.5 Yards
Mahomes Over 2.5 TD
Derrick Henry Rushing Yards Over 64.5 (-118)
While the jersey will be different the player is likely the same. Derrick Henry has been one of
the best backs in the league over the last few years and now will be in the Ravens backfield.
King Henry has had success vs the Chiefs over his career. Since entering the league, he’s
racked up 672 yards, against KC, an average of 112 per game. Another interesting stat for
Henry, in the first game of the regular season, he averaged an eye-popping 125 yards per, and
that includes two season openers where Henry ran for over 200 yards. Barring the Ravens
falling behind early and getting away from the run game, Henry should be a big factor for the
team that led the NFL in rushing last season.
Derrick Henry Touchdowns: 2+ Touchdowns (+400)
No other player has scored more touchdowns than Derrick Henry over the last 5 years, with 70.
And over his career vs the Chiefs, 6 games including playoffs, Henry has 8 touchdowns. He’s
scored a major in all but one game vs KC. And in three of those games, he found paydirt twice.
And when you break it down further and see how he produced in his first game of the year,
Henry has scored a touchdown in 4 of his 8 season openers. All signs point to him scoring at
least one, and it wouldn’t be a surprise for him to score a couple on Thursday Night Football.
